Has always been, far and away, the best Chinese in Rochester Hills. Since Mrs. Kim retired, this is the best in Oakland County. Don't tell them that the Happy Meal and Family Pack are phenomenal values and probably underpriced for all the great food you get. We want to like this place but... ....carts are too noisy, dishes clang. ...soup was lukewarm, as were the eggrolls. ...vegetarian dish had noodles and very few vegetables (I've already mentioned that S&S Chicken has no veggies, which, to my mind, is really just chicken nuggets with sugar. ...server switched the dish with another customer, when discovered, just moved them without apology. Always ask if it is the right dish before setting it down (Waiting 101). ...the ambiance just ain't what it used to be. Still, the place was busy. We'll take a break for a while. Absolutely amazing dim sum. I came here for lunch and ordered a few things. When I was done, the (presumably) owner came over and was happily surprised to see a white guy ordering off the dim sum menu. He offered me one of the pork shui mai and the shrimp kau for free. The food that I originally ordered was 10/10 and I would have given it that rating to begin with, but after that bit of hospitality I will be sure to bring friends here next time and recommend it to anyone looking for a good Chinese spot. Ordered a carry out on Christmas Day. I was told it would take longer than it normally does due to the amount of people and orders! The parking lot was full and people everywhere yet the staff was calling off order names continuous and they did a fantastic job trying to please the customers as quickly as possible. The food was excellent as always and certainly worth the slightly longer wait time due to the holiday with nearly no other restaurants open! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The combo meals were a great deal, and the staff offered to explain what dishes were, and were eager to answer any questions we had. It was a busy Saturday and although the staff were busy and appeared stressed, they made sure to check on us often. The food was good, and I appreciated having the option to try a traditional Chinese dish compared to the usual Americanized Chinese. Good food and great service for a good price. The portions are big, we ended taking home. We have been there 2 times and both times 2 or 3 asian families were also dining, must be good and authentic. First time at this location and it was so welcoming. The staff was so friendly and efficient too! I did an online order, and my food was ready in no time. The inside seating area looks spacious and was busy. Customers were flying in and out. It was like a festival in there. I also loved the spring roll (vegetarian). I think i have ordered enough for another meal. The restaurant is also in a great location. I can see why the parking space will never be empty during open hours.
