I go here for the custard French toast, it is an absolute hidden gem on the menu. They also have a habit of hiring extremely cute girls to work the front which always helps 😉 The Pollo guisado is always a good safe bet for me and I prefer it to any other in this part of town. I have visited cafe tropical multiple times and each experience was great. I love the white rice with tripe stew. I will continue to go there.

I walked in there after getting my nails done, not knowing what to order. The manager was so patient and helpful, we don’t speak any Spanish but felt so comfortable and excited about the portions and food. When we got home and got to eat we were obsessed. The food is a 10/10. Everything is fresh and the Yuca fries are amazing!!! Now we are regulars, and the staff is so friendly. Highly recommend everyone to try this place!
