We knew it as Nicole's, didn't know it had changed hands when we decided to go. Didn't notice any real changes, looked like the same staff, food was delicious, and the waitress was on top of everything. For once a management change that did it right. They should continue to be a great place to eat. Waitresses were friendly, quick, and checked back in. Excellent Food was average Small town atmosphere. It could use an update as the booths are extremely hard for elderly to get in and out of. Two of us went in at 10am only two other tables were occupied. Two servers working and the owner was at the register. We ordered two cups of coffee and their Sunday special. After 15 minutes of waiting to just get our coffee which we never got, we left and went one block over to Mom's Parkside Cafe, much better decision. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I had one of the daily specials. Grilled Ham and Cheese with tomato basil soup. It was served with pickles and chips and complimentary slice of yummy strawberry bundt cake. Not much to look at. I had the hot beef sandwich. Very disappointing. Gravy has no flavor and was very lumpy. I didn't even take a photo as it looked disgusting. I expect a brown beef gravy on a hot beef sandwich. That is NOT what was served. The steak sandwich that another in my party had, was okay. Service was kind of meh. I will not go back here. Visited Aug 2, 2023 1PM First time I was there since it wasnt Nichols. The waitress that served us was way above average compared to most other restaurants. I ordered a denver omelet, with hashbrowns. My parents had hamburgers/fries. The food was excellent, with a fair price. Our waitress was always on top of taking care of us with refills, etc. In todays day and age, a really good waitress is hard to come by. Will visit again for sure. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband had the steak and eggs special and I had the cheese omelet. Both were very good. Prices very reasonable. Staff was very friendly. Will come back.

Great to see a small town cafe thriving and with good reason. My southern breakfast companion said the biscuits and sausage gravy were as good as any he’s had in the south. The giant pancake was light and fluffy and the Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection. Don’t forget your cash as they don’t take credit cards. And the service is nostalgia inducing small town friendly.

Been coming here for years. Always great. Can’t beat the $9.99 steak, eggs, hash browns and toast. Very busy and food still came fast, hot and tasty. Huge portions. All the staff were very friendly and our server Kathy was outstanding. Highly recommend
