Not a fan of Kiosk ordering , I go to places for customer service and in person ordering from a register. I did a call in order for breakfast for my employees which was a good experience and the food was decent. Went through the drive through to get my breakfast and ordered 2 mcgriddles, a mcmuffin, and a hashbrown. I received all my food except for the hashbrown. They were busy which I would normally give them a pass for, but this isnt the first time theyve either forgotten items to my order or given me the wrong order. Wow. Rude! I pulled up to the window to hear complaining about the customer previously in front of me. The person at the window should have stayed home. I was told my total, then waited for her to find her phone to figure my change.. As I was shuffled off to the next window, the girl all but threw the bag at me. No words. Soon as I had my food and drink the window was slammed shut and she rushed to jump hip check her buddy. Clearly I was interrupting. The order was wrong to boot. Food was good (got the chicken nuggets). My only complaint is they've removed the regular walkup order (a staffed cash register) so your only option is with the app or the kiosks in store. It's fine to have the kiosks as an OPTION but some people have issues with them. Saw several senior citizens struggle with the ordering and paying process as well as a couple of mothers with children...trying to enter the order while keeping the kids in check is no easy task. Shame on you, McDonald's...just to save the cost of a minimum wage staff position. And entering a special request on the food with the kiosks ... Not a good thing. Staff some damn walk up registers. Waited for over 15 minutes for our food, we dined in. Food was cold. Didn't complain, as the kids were hungry and we didn't want to wait even longer. Also, can't even grab your own napkins or dipping sauces anymore. 😡 Responding to your reply: The pandemic excuse is a cop out. You can't tell me it's cleaner for your employee out front to hand napkins and condiments when they are touching all surfaces including their face then handing me napkins? Gross. While they struggled to make 3 frappes, they let our food sit on trays getting cold. Went up once, and they said it would be out in a minute. Went up again, and the manager asked, "What can I get for you?" I pointed at our trays.. still short a frappe. And asked for our food that was probably cold. He swapped out hashbrowns for Luke warm hashbrowns.. then brought out our food. Then, a few minutes later, our last frappe was brought out. Too many fast food joints are over focused on drive-thru. They forget about the people who actually want to come in and eat their food. If this location was an Arby's, I would take down the great food bell because they wouldn't deserve to have one. If McDonald’s insists on using kiosks for ordering rather than cashier ordering, I believe they could make the kiosk experience more inclusive by considering the needs of older customers who are not comfortable with such a technology shift. An improvement in interface design and more user-friendly instructions could go a long way in enhancing the dining experience for everyone. Otherwise, it’s important to balance between automation and customer service. McDonald's has taken decent strides in embracing technology, but ensuring that all customers, regardless of age or ability, can enjoy a seamless experience is what should remain the priority. Bringing back a cashier as an option could achieve this balance and enhance customer satisfaction as well especially since a worker ends up assisting with the kiosk anyway. Very good service. The only Big Problem is there are no condiments, salt & pepper packets, and napkins out where the tables are. John's Reply to this McDonalds: Your other store has condiments and napkins at a station in the middle of the room. It be nice if salt, pepper, sugar packets, and napkins were available too. Some people like to self-serve similar to ordering at the kiosk which you have been insisting people do. Thanks.

I pulled into this parking lot exactly at 9 o'clock. Trying to check into my app. And I have proof on my GPS 20 minutes later from the time I ordered. It it's 90 six, so in the 6 minutes. I try to check in your stupid app. You throw my food away and I'm still waiting for it. And so the owner. Knows I talked to the manager already the same Day it happened, they had excuse after excuse. Ok, when I write a review I want to be as fair and partial as I can when it comes to food places (especially fast-food places). First off none of the pictures you see on the ordering boards will come to you looking like that! It will never look as good; it is a strategic marketing tool. Second of all this place is about feeding the masses, and fast. So, when it comes to consistency at this McDonald's they can sometimes get things looking wrong or give you wrong items. The accuracy of this place is rather quite good considering how fast they have to get everyone moving. I would say about 85% of the time they get it right! When they don't is because they have young teenagers working and are inexperienced at paying attention to details. This is also the case when it comes to the meet and greet with these teenagers at this location. They can sometimes not smile, not look up at you, not even say a word to you when handing out your order to you. This would be a management training opportunity! The food does come out most of the time looking good, not sloppily made or thrown together. It is deliberate on the way it is made and made to order! I would say this is the second-best McDonald's in Rapid City. If you do get a wrong item or an item missing on your order, just tell them and they will always make it right for you! You can't go wrong at this place when you want to scratch your fast-food itch! Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
