Down home, genuine Americana with the finest settings & offerings!!! Came here thinking this here local sports bar might be named (though misspelled) for one of my all time fave NBA players. #GoBobGo 🏀 Uh, nope… No 🎲🎲…. Anyway, ordered up some fine burgers & fries for The Contessa and our Marshmallow (plus a fish sandwich w/ fruit salad & potato salad for moi) kicking back at the Econolodge Motel. The wait pushed my unscheduled patience back a few hefty minutes — never good with The Contessa being hungry after 5+hrs driving — though glory be the depth of topics overheard in the bar area took me to a refined parlor experience never before, uhhh, experienced. [Either that, or repeating discussions on birthdays are highly prized in these here parts. Me, I’ve had enough birthdays. Why be greedy and selfish? Not gonna be adding one this year onto my total, yo…] ❤️ Good value. Amiable attitudes. Bright smiles and awesome vibes from the pretty Angels working hard to please the “family clientele” — So… do tip them well, please peeps! 🙏🙏🏽🙏🏿 {For sure, Virginia Tech living is dearly esteemed, yet also can be dear to afford!} Plenty of parking (though the traffic patterns surrounding recall a pioneering era of pre-zoning configurations) close to the sheltered entrance. Think before you order takeout from this establishment. I ordered a wild bill burger. When my daughter brought it home, it was all but a hamburger. It had lettuce, 1 onion ring, and a spot (about the size of a dime) of BBQ sauce. It had no meat!! I didn’t order a vegetarian burger!! Is this what $20 an hour looks like in today’s America? My daughter’s order was missing some sauce as well. You try and help keep the community going in today’s economy, but this is the service you get? I’ll just make my burger at home before I pay $14 for some vegetables on a bun ever again!! Service Take out Price per person $10–20

We’ve eaten at this location many times and used to think it was great. However two of the last three times were disappointing. Last Sunday we dined in with another couple. All four entrees were lacking in one way or another. I ordered the Bang Bang Bacon Burger Quesadilla. It was so greasy that I could not finish it, and felt sick the rest of the day. In filling a glass, the waitress accidentally poured water into my friend’s lap. Instead of helping, she left the pitcher on the table, brought him napkins, then left. Frankly, she should have taken his glass and filled it away from the table. We will steer clear until this restaurant gets its act together. The best thing about Macado's is their menu. There are almost too many choices! I've never had a bad sandwich and they are always stacked thick with ingredients. The Macado's in Christiansburg does seem to have a technical issue with ordering online. We always call in our takeout order. I assume everything works fine if you use Door Dash.
