Wonderful owner, great service and unexpectedly incredible food. My daughter and I judge a restaurant by how they serve fried Calamari, and boy do they know this dish. Had a conversation with the owner who is just as into them as I, telling us how he returned the recommended stock to ensure he purchased the large, thick peices and cooked them to perfection. Not rubbery and about melted in my mouth. Lightly battered, slightly seasoned and pulled from the fry at the right moment. The pizza was awesome as well, had the meat lovers and cured our craving for that yummy delectable slice that held all it's toppings as I picked up each slice. They helped us with 2 boxes to make sure we were able to take the leftovers home on our BMW 650gs in the rear hatch. My two friends and I showed up about 30 minutes before closing. We were welcomed warmly and served well. The dipping sauce with garlic and olive oil and the bread were amazing. We were warmly welcomed by two people before the door even shut behind us. The vibe is great, the food is delectable (the mozzarella in the Stromboli is scrumptious!), and our waitress could not have been sweeter. Best Italian I've had in years. Can't wait to go back! I tried the spaghetti with meatballs and wasn't disappointed. The sauce was very good. No need to add salt and pepper, it was perfectly seasoned and tasty. The pasta was the right amount tender, not too soft. I commend the staff for good service. Nice small town spot. Some of the best Italian food I have had in many years. The flavors were powerful and the veggies tasted fresh. I had the stuffed chicken which was a great choice. The service was top notch. We have loved Luigi’s for years. It is the go to place for lunch after church. I am giving it 2 stars just because of our history. However, the quality of the food has changed recently. The spaghetti noodles were uncooked today and out of pure luck we found the gum stuck to the bottom of our pizza before eating it. No one was chewing gum so it definitely isn’t our gum….. Just the place to go in quinlan for good food and friendly staff. The bread is wonderful, fresh baked, hot, and they have bowls of butter on the tables so you can slather it on. The house salad dressing is a tomato concoction with just the right seasoning.
