The manager Kathy and all of the staff were EXTREMELY nice! She went out of her way to tell us about the menu and help my picky eater with their meal to make sure they were satisfied. Can’t brag about the customer service enough. And quality of food is unmatched compared to other local options. Will definitely become a regular stop for me. On occasion, my wife and I visit Jason's Deli in Hickory for lunch. As we normal, we both ordered salads. The salad bar was missing many items. The spring mix salad (fancy lettuce) was empty. The ranch dressing was empty. Just to name a few. The ladies at the 'salad bowl pick up area' were very loud. I can only imagine they wanted attention. We sat in a booth by the double doors, and could hear one of them our entire meal. After such a long time w/o an ice cream machine, we were happy to see it up and running again, but the chocolate side was broken/empty. Just a piss poor experience. I give the stars because I think they deserve it. Jason's deli I love. They have different food than I'm used to but I like to try new things. I love their food and the people are very, friendly and helpful. I love that salad bar. Sorry no pictures but next time. This place won't disappoint, it's worth the trip. I am hopeful Jason's was just having an off night, but our meal tonight was so different than in the many times we've eaten here through the years. We used to order our meal and it would come to our table within just a couple of minutes. This evening it was 33 minutes - according to our receipt before our fairly simple meal arrived. Almost everyone around us was also waiting quite a long time too. Sadly, the ice cream machine was also out of order. Sweetest and most helpful and friendly staff ever! They went out of their way to make sure we plus everyone else in the restaurant enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience. It’s super clean inside. Food was prepared correctly, served at the right temperature and tasted great! The menu provides a huge variety of options. The salad bar is excellent- stocked up, super fresh offerings on it and lots and lots of choices to make your salad great. Plus there’s plenty of cracker choices too and mini muffins, lots of salad dressings and condiments as well. There are plenty of seating choices too. This is one of the best places to eat in Hickory!
