Good food and great customer service. We ordered the Prime rib dinner at 4pm on Saturday. Perfectly done with medium well and tastes good. My husband ordered the special fish and chips with clam chowder special to share. Love it! Will definitely return! ❤️❤️ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came to Long Beach for a few days over Christmas. This was one of the few places open in town. The french dips were suggested to us and were so delicious and the people who were working there were so friendly! We will definitely go back! Won’t go back, McDonald’s filet-o-fish would have been better. Fish seemed like it was frozen out of a bag fries were over done. When I asked about the clams and if they were razor clams they responded that they did not know and that they were minced clam strips. It was like pulling teeth to get an extra katchup and could not fathom the need for an extra fork. The chowder was ok weirdly enough on the sweet side. Nachos were pretty bland, even the jalapeños but loaded and quite large! Heard the chowder, coleslaw and fish were excellent. Service was good, counter girl was friendly and brought us our food. Place itself was pretty busy and loud but that is due to the busyness of the area. We would stop again! My favorite place to stop and eat. They offer gluten-free options too! I had their Pub Sandwich 🥪( turkey,swiss with a roll). Btw it is so big and delicious. "Dead" by fried food. There is no alive color on those baskets. The Burger may be the most decent foot there, everything else is heavily fried. My stomach was asking later what exactly I ate, an unpleasant experience. Unfortunately it was the only place open allowing kids on Monday afternoon. Been coming to Hungry Harbor for years now and this is the first time I’ve experienced such poor food. Fish had way too much breading so it was difficult to taste the halibut and upon eating my last piece, I come across this beautiful (sarcasm) piece of fish. Went in to get lunch with my mother. the resturant wasn't busy and we got our food in a timely manner, got two German sausages to go. Took a quick ride back home barely 5 minute drive. Opening up our boxes we found that our sausages were burnt, dry, shriveled, crunchy and looked like it had been sitting out all day and the taste was very peppery and way too salty. The bun was hard and stale to where I didn't even want to eat it. I enjoy coming to hungry harbor because I know the food is good, but this wasn't at all what I was expecting from this place, I was disappointed to say the least. We had called in to describe what we were given and the woman who awnsered the phone was short and cut us off before we could explain the issue, saying that the issue was condensation when it in fact was not. It's unfortunate that our order came out this way, I don't see myself coming back as often or really at all, and I certainly wont be directing customers their way if this is what the food has turned into. We ordered a few burgers, the nachos Supreme, and I ordered an oyster burger with a meat patty. The burgers themselves were delicious and HUGE! The nachos were so large, my daughter didn't even eat half of them before tapping out. The fries, sadly, were very greasy.
