I had an appointment at DMV and searched somewhere close to eat. Homestyle Restaurant was .3 miles away. By the time I got there, there was no more dark chicken, but all I had to do was wait 15 minutes and I was blessed with a plate of fried chicken, okra, cabbage, macaroni and cheese and lemonade. People it was just like Mama or Granny made it. I am a fan! I will be back to tell y’all about every item on the menu. The service was amazing. Ms. Brenda was so sweet. And the food?!?!?? Hunny, it was amazing. I got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, green beans, yams, AND corn bread with a lemonade for $18. It was definitely worth every penny even after warming it up 🔥. Service was excellent. Food was delicious! I had the pork chop plate with cabbage and Mac & cheese and sweet tea. Pork chop was tender everything was piping hot. As a truck driver, I rarely get a chance to eat a "home cooked" meal and this was amazing. I will be back!
