I've lived in the area for several years but just tried Dions for the first time in past couple weeks after a coworker recommended it and we enjoyed it so much that we reordered it twice in two weeks and I realized I've been sleeping on this place. I love Dion's. It's been a regular stop since my college days in Albuquerque. The last couple of times at the Aurora, Colorado location has been disappointing. I ask for extra sauce on my pizza, today is the 2nd time that I have received little to no sauce on my pizza. This is two trips in a row. I hope this is not a new trend of not paying attention to orders... I picked up at the drive thru and made it home before discovering the error. I didn't want to drive back and have it corrected. Originally from the 505, I drove from 307 to to enjoy some Dions! They were short staffed and swamped, it was worth the wait and it did not disappoint! The service staff are friendly and thevplace is clean and inviting. The food at this NM chain has always been decent, though not great in my opinion. Been wanting to try this place for a while, it always smells amazing when I drive past to go grocery shopping. Finally checked it out, and the food tastes even better than it smells! My family moved to Arizona in 2020. One of our absolute favorites when we lived in NM was Dion’s. I was traveling to the area and had to have my old town favorite. I had the roast beef and provolone and added green chile. It was better than I remembered. I’ll say this again, Dion’s you need to open locations in Phoenix. Dion's has pretty good pizza. The cheese is nice and toothsome, and the crust is the right balance of crispy and chewy. The size chart is posted where it is not obvious, so we over ordered. Which brings up another characteristic of quality: how well it reheats. Warmed up, that cheese gets kind of gluey in texture. While dining in, the staff was helpful and pleasant, but there were only plastic eating utensils and paper plates. I asked for a "real" plate and was gladly given one, but the plastic knife and fork made it tough going at times. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches and salads which I want to go back and try, having just moved into the neighborhood. They have Coke products, always a plus. I'm fairly new to the area, and am so glad I found Dion's. The pizza is always delicious, but don't forgo the subs and salads - they're all superb. They also know what they're doing when hiring staff - they're great; all are friendly and welcoming, naturally service oriented people. I wanted to give a shout out to Ally, who I noticed has come up in a few other reviews. I picked up my sub tonight 10 minutes before closing, and asked Ally if it wasn't too late to eat in the restaurant (the place was empty of customers). She couldn't have been nicer, assured me it was fine, and even checked on me a few times during the meal, which really isn't her job. I really appreciated it since I didn't feel the need to speed eat. Go to Dion's! You'll enjoy it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Exceptional customer service. I ordered a DoorDash from Dions because I had a gift card, and the dasher forgot half of my order. The store tried to contact them, and couldn’t get a hold of them so Ally gave me a call. She sent her driver to my location with the rest of my order and an extra treat when it was not even her fault! She and the driver were incredible. The staff must have had an off day. The pizza had been sitting for a long time and was completely soggy, and the meatballs came out long after all the other items did. However, they were very gracious and refunded our money. They just need to work on their timing, because I love crispy crust and the larger pizzas definitely don't have that happening. They might just need to put the cardboard underneath the pizza, like they do with the smaller ones. *Update, the staff has reached out to me for a do-over so stay tuned!
