21st anniversary and stated such when booking. No mention of this, not even a conversation with the waiter. He came by said hi and disappeared for over 10 minutes and didn't even take a drink order, while tables that were seated after us got service. Food was good, but service needed more. The bacon appetizer is stellar. The steaks are always good, as were the sides (mashed potatoes, asparagus, etc). Craft cocktails were good, but bartender could use a lesson in the presentation aspect of his craft. Executive lunch is very well priced. This was a truly elegant experience. Appetizers were delicious. Lobster bisque was great. My Prime rob eye was perfectly prepared and may be the very best steak I have ever tasted! Our family decided to go out for a nice dinner on Christmas night and we left both satisfied and disappointed. Let’s start with the positives first. The food we ended up ordering was excellent. All the meats were cooked perfectly and the starters and sides were great. Now the negatives. We had 6 items we ordered on the menu which they had run out of. The first was an appetizer, the Dynamite Shrimp. Then we went on to order the main course. After taking our order our waiter returned 10 minutes later to inform us that they were out of the Long Bone Short Rib and shockingly POTATOES. Yes they were out of potatoes so we had to change the two potato side items we ordered. Finally for desert they were out of the only two items we ordered to share, Warm Butter cake and Lemon cake. So while the food we did get was excellent I must say we were extremely disappointed that they were out of so many of the dishes we ordered. For a restaurant such as Del Frisco’s this is simply unacceptable. When we received our bill the waiter and restaurant did not offer to comp anything. My family and I came to the restaurant for an early Christmas meal. Overall the food was good but our waitress was not as attentive as we would've hoped. It felt like there were long periods of time between every visit. She didn't ask us if we wanted any refills on cocktails, additional rolls, etc. At times it felt like we had to flag her down. I honestly engaged with the manager more than her. At the end of the evening, my family enjoyed themselves which is all that mattered. We have experienced Del Frisco's a few times, and each time we are so pleased. The food itself is really good. There are a few steakhouses that I have enjoyed the food just an edge more, but still give this place 5 stars. What really has been 5 stars is the service. Those working here are always top notch. Took my husband here for his birthday dinner. It was a first time for both of us and it was a wonderful experience the food was the best at any steakhouse in Denver I’ve had and our server was phenomenal. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend this place for a top tier steakhouse experience! Also the price wasn’t too bad and the wine list doesn’t disappoint 5 stars are we deserved. Only downside is it is a little dark inside but everything else was fantastic! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
