Food was excellent and staff were very friendly. Only complaint is that the breakfast combo I ordered was enough food to last me the whole day!

Steve's MO' Meat Breakfast Combo
I would recommend this to everybody we came from over an hour away. And this restaurant popped up on Google. It looked like good food and prices. I convinced the family to go there. We were so glad we did. The food was delicious and much to our surprise were large amounts cooked to perfection and the platters were filled up. Not plates but platters, the prices were low and very affordable. We all took home leftovers. We will definitely be going back to eat when we are in Owensboro.

I always forget to take a picture of my favorite plate, usually because I have already eaten it by the time I think of doing it to contribute here LOL!! Close to home, close to the heart. This place was formerly my great uncles' BBQ restaurant years before it was Dee's. The level of customer service they have achieved, reminds me of the days when I used to come here as a kid. The cooks here always make excellent "Mickey Mouse" pancakes for the kids, topped ANY way they want them!!! The servers are ALWAYS friendly and courteous, most of them will know you by name, if your a regular!

We pulled up and were very surprised at how full the parking lot was. They seated our party of four with just a five to ten minute wait. I ordered the quarter pound club, which was 2 quarter pound beef patties, bacon, lettuce, and cheese with three pieces of toasted bread. I also had the season fries and the Mac n cheese. The burger and fries were great. The Mac n cheese tasted like it came out of a box. Overall I enjoyed my meal a lot and the other people in my party said their food was very good also. After watching other food come out of the kitchen, I definitely want to come back and try some other stuff, especially their giant pancakes. The cost is very reasonable.

Passing through Owensboro and stumbled across this little hidden gem. The food was AMAZING. Our waitress Tomeka was absolutely phenomenal. She was friendly and very attentive. The food was hot and fresh with huge portions. I can't say one bad thing about this place. I even absolutely loved the senior lady cashier she was a delight to talk to.
Do yourself a favor and eat here, you wont be disappointed.

First time visitor...extremely happy. Parking lot was full so we had to circle the block and park down the road. You seat yourself and I'm pretty certain we got the last table. Waitress came quickly and warned us that there were new employees in kitchen so service was slower then usual. It did take a very long time to get our food but WOW it was a LOT and it was so delicious. I got a meal (for 10.75) of three eggs (ordered medium and cooked correctly), two slices of bacon and two sausage links (bigger then expected), biscuits and gravy. It also come with two pancakes. Pancakes that were HUGE. Now they admittedly arent the best pancakes I have ever had but they were larger than a dinner plate and the leftovers were sent home in a pizza box. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely go back and try them again.

There was some waiting but very understandable for the number of people coming and going and the food is worth the wait. Very generous portions at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Rise & Shine Breakfast Platter
Went in yesterday morning to have breakfast with my sister. I ordered the French toast, which was pretty good, & some bacon, again was not bad. They were a little short staffed when arrived, & so we had to wait a bit to order & receive our food, but it was worth the wait, because our server was friendly & the food was good. Hopefully will get a chance to eat there again.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. It was somewhat busy but it appeared it was winding down a bit. I ordered the large pancake and some bacon and eggs. The wait was a little longer than I expected but not terrible. When the food arrived it was hot. The pancake is definitely huge, and I'd say the taste is comparable to a Cracker Barrel pancake. The service was solid, our waitress made sure we had coffee and a full drink. I'd say this is definitely a place to visit if you're in Owensboro, need some breakfast, and want to try a local place.
