My family and I love this restaurant. My wife has gone here for years, even before we met. Staff is always friendly, food is good, and it is a fun atmosphere. Stopped in for breakfast today with my family, the food was great, classic diner stuff. Our waitress Gabby was very attentive and patient with my daughter who can often take a long time to order. We really appreciated that. This is a great place that felt family owned and had a comforting energy. We will be back (to try ice cream!) and highly recommend to everyone. We stopped here for breakfast while in town for a wedding. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. I had to take leftovers home which is rare. Our server was also very nice and attentive. An old school cafe located just on the outskirts of downtown Naperville. Coming here as a kid, we used to always get the banana split after practice. Now that I’ve visited as an adult, I can share more about the experience I had here. First and foremost, the service here is incredible. You really feel the hospitality of the hostess & waitress. The staff keep it nice and tidy and the bathrooms are clean. As far as the food goes, I had the corned beef hash skillet. It was a great sized meal with plenty of good ingredients, and I was able to eat the whole thing + the pancakes. I will say that I felt like the eggs were very basic, and the corned hash was not very seasoned. The potatoes did taste good though! My friend had the farm sweet potato bowl and said it was lacking in flavor and the ingredients clashed too much with one another. Great place for breakfast! The service was great, and the food was good! I got the biscuits and gravy with eggs and everything was good! Although, the biscuits were too hard. It wasn't burnt or anything but it wasn't a soft or fluffy biscuit. My husband had an omelet and he said the salsa was REALLY good - fire roasted, kinda smokey. From the moment you walk in, it’s warm and welcoming, and you’re seated quickly. Our server, Meghan, was prompt, polite, and kept up with all her tables, treating everyone kindly and thoroughly explaining menu items. A very traditional type of home style breakfast place. Good decent service and nice atmosphere. Prices are definitely higher than other similar breakfast places. I've been here for brunch a few times when it was not very busy. This has to be the best local restaurant with the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. The skillets are amazing too! They serve you actual large cast iron pans that are loaded and filling. For the price, they really give you your money's worth. I'm only giving 4 stars, because out of the three times I've come here, twice I've had very poor service from the same older lady. She's very nice, but very forgetful. I've had to raise my hand and stand to call her several times for a refill, ketchup, sugar, missing silverware, to go containers, and napkins. I don't know what it was, but there were several other employees just wandering around or just talking, so I didn't think they were short handed. This waitress also only had one other table behind us the last time we were there. Another negative is the parking lot. The parking lot is large because it's a large shopping plaza, but I've come two other times earlier before noon to eat and there was literally no parking in the parking lot so we left after searching for 10 minutes.
