Absolutely horrible. The steak dish was cold and dry. Our table host mentioned a wedding that was going and that’s why my dinner was cold. They did not ask if I need my steak reheated or select another dish. They took my money and half leftover cold steak…..Terrible Service!
Just had an incedible late lunch. The menu items we had , delivered! I recommend this location for a date or dinner. The atmosphere has versatility from the antique tea pots to a high quality dinner, they did not disappoint.

Cedar Knoll has been one of our go to places for special occasions. Unfortunately the Valentines day special was terrible. Despite open window seats we were seated in the center of the room. Then only the valentines day menu was available at a whopping $105.00 each. The first course was a single potato chip with caviar on it. The second was a pastry puff that looked like it had come out of the microwave. Then it took over an hour to get the entree, Prime Rib. The plates were large and could have held and entire turkey. The Prime Rib was cooked medium rare and tough to cut. No steak knifes provided. Small amount of mashed potatoes decoratively smeared on the plate with a bite of spinach. The menu had three desserts on it and as we were trying to select the dessert we wanted the waiter brought them out. All three on a small plate. A lollipop size cake on a stick and hazelnut cake and lemon cake in the size of sugar cubes. The menu stated that the gratuity would be included in the final bill. It was not. The evening cost us with tip $295. We like Cedar Knoll and its venison offering. We will try once more but if this is the new standard we will look elsewhere.

Took my wife there for Valentine’s Day pre-fix. What a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! Our server was nice, but missed sending us of the “chefs surprise”. After living in DC for 10+ years, and eating and working at fine dining in the city, I would rate this as a 2/5 fine dining establishment. Food was not hot and lacked anything that would make me want to compliment the chef. Service also lacked fine dining training like you find in DC. We moved into the neighborhood a few months ago, and was excited to try it. Ugghh, never again. I guess this will only be a “grab a cocktail” place, after this experience. Prices were outrageous (not to mention they did auto gratuity which was good for them) for the quality of food and service. Lastly, it’s 2024: have a better non-alcohol selection beyond Becks.
