Had a great breakfast here, doesn't get better than this! Amber W. was our server and she was amazing, very easy going and helpful. I got the Thick Chick and enjoyed every bite. My boyfriend got the Banana foster French toast, American breakfast, and the grits and finished every bite. Stop in, you won't regret it! I decided to try this eatery for Sunday lunch. We were waited on in a decent amount of time. With a smallish number of guests the service wait time could have been less. I got the breakfast burger since I've never tried one with an egg before. It was too greasy for me. I had to use my knife to cut the burger as the middle meat/egg part scooted away from my mouth when I bit in:). I have to be honest for the reader but wish I could fudge it some, as the staff seemed nice. Oh wait, I loved the fries, crispy and nicely seasoned. The restaurant was very clean inside and tables were cleared quickly. Plenty of mall type parking available. There are also limited outside tables available. My experience at the Brick & Spoon was amazing. My server/Bartender Mya was excellent. She offered a few suggestions and they all were great. I highly recommend the avocado toast and the bayou fresh catch. I capped off a wonderful meal with the world renown beignets. Brick & Spoon will not disappoint. New foodie to the area and looking for the best mom and pop type breakfast spot. Google searches and this place popped up with good reviews so tried it out. Came at 830am and was the only customer until about 9am. Service was spot on since I was the only table to help. Coffee was decent and the S.B.C Omelet was perfect. Fresh ingredients and packed with flavor. The square “hash browns “ were a little less flavorful so will try the grits next time. Overall a decent experience in a well cleaned restaurant. There was a short wait, but well worth it! Service was great and the food came out quickly. All of the food had a lot of flavor. We had breakfast tacos, French toast, Mac & cheese, an omelette, and loaded hash. I think this our new breakfast go to place. What a BEAUTIFUL, upscale, BLACK WOMAN OWNED experience! Such a LOVELY thing to see the owner interacting with guests! Kerri is very passionate and it shows! The food was AMAZING, being pescovegan, I was impressed with the food quality. My cousin really enjoyed her beignets!

Where do I start?! If you’re trying to decide if you want to stop here or not, let this review be your decision maker! The food was absolutely outstanding. The service was genuinely friendly. Our server Katelyn (so sorry if I misspelled) was very sweet, attentive and knowledgeable. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything sounded wonderful on the menu, I couldn’t decide so I just ordered what the guest on side of me ordered and I was happy I did. The crab cakes were to die for. I can’t wait to get back!
