5 years ago, I moved from Indiana to the Georgia. One day I got a craving for Bob Evans multigrain pancakes, so I looked up the nearest Bob Evans location. It was in Lexington, KY. Apparently, that's the farthest south they exist. So, today, for the first time in 5 years I got to eat Bob Evans pancakes. Unfortunately, like the Marionberry Pancakes I loved so much 20 years ago, the multigrain ones are no longer on the menu. I chose the Double Blueberry Pancakes so that I could compare them with those I've recently had at IHOP and Cracker Barrel. Bob Evans' Double Blues win by a landslide! I think they put put vanilla in the batter. The berries in the pancakes were small and abundant while those in the topping were big an juicy. The topping was smooth and thick and warm. No soggy pancakes here...or sticky sauce. Delicious 😋! There's still room for improvement: fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice would have made my breakfast perfect! We were greeted and seated quickly. The restaurant was clean and quiet, even though there were a good amount of diners. Food portions were good and came quickly, prices were average, and our waitress Suzanne was attentive (without being annoying) and upbeat. Great overall experience!
