I was impressed....every part of our visit turned out to be pretty awesome! We were all trying each others food! Our server was so nice, helpful, and right on time with everything we wanted, very concerned that we were happy with our visit. Bartender was spot on too... Weird to say, but restrooms were clean and tidy, and that's important to us. We will be back! Greeted right away upon entering and the restaurant was clean. Our waiter had only started three days earlier but he did a great job and checked back often. The all you can eat trio special is absolutely worth it for a super low price. We stop in at least once a month when passing through Hays and are never disappointed with the food and service! Honestly, this was the worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant!! I wish I could give zero stars!! Honestly I wish I could get my money back!! The food that I received was definitely not worth $50. The honey pepper chicken macaroni, and the Christmas barbecue chicken and shrimp with fries and the 4 cheese mac and cheese was absolutely horrible, our food was cold. Even our appetizers were not that great! On top of that the service was very un professional!! It was very slow when it was not even busy and our server was on her phone over by the bar most of the time, she didn't even give me back my receipt after I paid!! I honestly wish I could just get my money back because we barely even ate our food. I really hope we do not get sick from this experience!! I will not be recommending this place to anyone!! I will never be back to this establishment because of the experience we had tonight! I do however recommend that if you want to enjoy food and have respectful service you should go anywhere but this Applebee's!! The food was cold..server was no where to be found. They were busy but that was totally unacceptable. My pasta was cold although the chicken on it was hot. My son in laws wonton tacos were cold, my daughter's steak looked like a meatball and my child's waffle fries weren't cooked all the way.
