Completely disrespectful to the entire neighborhood with their loud music. When asked to turn it down a little so we can work was told by the tender to "f--k off" and that they didn't care and didn't care if reported to the police or Gresham code compliance. Not a business the community needs or wants. Also the displacement of the cars is apsolutely everywhere. Have had to have several cars towed from the property.

Great sand and great actions behind Chepe's Salvadoran restaurant. Come watch or come and play. The papusas are amazing!

This place is located in the middle of a bunch of apartment complexes. They play music loud enough to be heard over tvs in residents homes. The management refuses to turn down the music, which starts early in the morning. This is a terrible location for this business and management has no respect for the neighborhood. Tells people if they don't like the noise they shouldn't have moved here. I really hope the bar buys them out as they actually treat others with respect. Nobody here pays over $1100 in rent to listen to the volleyball courts music in their own home.

I love this. Sand volleyball is the greatest sport in the world, and I find it odd that courts this nice are found in the middle of a Gresham city block, adjoining an excellent restaurant. If I had one suggestion, I would arrange for Chepes to open its full bar during all tournaments.

This has changed owners the past couple years but the current ones and put some work into it and it is a lot better/cuter then it used to be. The sand can still get dirty with rocks and sticks but its surrounded by trees so that's not surprising and it's still fine to play in. There is league play Tuesday and Thursday and Wednesday evening they have practices there but Fridays are typically slow and the weekends. The owners work with coaches too if you are interested in and are super helpful if you have questions. The bar and papusery is pretty cool too. We get margaritas and food while we play.

At first I came here for my daughter's beach volleyball practice, but I love that this place offers food, drinks, and beach volleyball courts, so we come here more often now. The employees are very nice, the food is good, the volleyball courts are awesome, and the location is convenient.

This place is awesome! Where else can you have a beer and play beach volleyball at the same time?!? They have 4 nets and actual beach sand! Plus, you get the best bartender in town, Ying, that knows how to pour ;)

My visit to Woks up was great! Could not have asked for a better experience. First off I was visiting from out of town. I have heard of this establishment In my sand volleyball circle back home, and have wanted to see it for my own eyes. I had spent the afternoon riding my cousins bike around downtown to gain confidence riding in a large city. I then traveled back over the Hawthorne bridge and onto Division. I rode until 182nd and cut up to Stark. My legs were feeling every push of the pedals but I pressed on. I was welcomed by Ying and the bar patrons. It felt like home. There was that sand that I had heard of. Ordered a glass of Widmer and Ying allowed me to hit a volleyball around. When it was time for me to go, Ying gave me an open invitation to come back whenever I'm in the city. See ya when I see ya:)

Nice waitress, but VERY annoyed that you can't park in the lot unless you're there for the restaurant only. Volleyball players park down the road in the sketchy neighborhood. 😐
