The vibe was good when we first walked in but the service fell way below our expectations. We waited about 1 hour & 20 minutes before our entrees were served. Steak was good but our mashed potatoes were cold & asparagus was crunchy. Not sure if we will be coming back Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
My only concern was the fact I ordered a Beefeater Martini on the rocks. The drink was delivered and the waitress informed me the bartender substituted Tanqueray as they didn’t carry Beefeater. Not being asked if I liked or wanted a substitute was unexpected but then being charged for a double was very aggravating. Service Dine in Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Our visit to Waterfire was disappointing. Despite the nice atmosphere, the service fell short. The waiter forgot our drink orders multiple times and brought balsamic vinegar instead of maple syrup for our pancakes. There was no apology or offer of a discount to make up for the mistakes. The food didn't fare much better. It was below average, lacking the expected flavors and quality. It made us wonder about the chef's skills. In summary, while Waterfire has a pleasant setting, the poor service and mediocre food make it hard to recommend. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, it's best to try elsewhere. Our recent meal at Waterfire fell short of expectations, despite the inviting ambiance. We experienced notable issues with the service, including difficulties with our waiter accurately remembering our drink orders and receiving an incorrect order altogether. Unfortunately, these mistakes went unacknowledged and were not rectified. Additionally, we observed instances where our waiter appeared distracted by non-essential tasks rather than prioritizing customer needs. Furthermore, the quality of the food was disappointing. Each dish lacked the expected flavors and refinement, which raised doubts about the chef's abilities. Overall, while Waterfire offers a pleasant atmosphere, the service and food quality detract significantly from the overall dining experience. For those seeking a memorable culinary experience, we recommend considering alternative dining options. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This was a perfect date night spot. When i made the reservation i asked for a booth and they delivered. The food was great, it wasn't too loud, and the server was attentive. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We have been to WaterFire before, and had a good experience. This time, after driving for four hours from Vancouver, we were starving and excited for some good food in a nice atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and professional, and we got a nice bottle of wine and ordered. The appetizers were good, and then the entree came. This is where the issues started. When we got our scallop dinner, it was covered in diced bacon. I have a pork allergy, and get very sick if I eat it. It was our fault for not noticing bacon in the description, so I apologized and the server kindly said “No problem, I’ll have it remade without the bacon”. Ten minutes later, he comes back and says he asked the chef, and the chef told him he was not willing to remake it and to bring the food (which was cold by this point) back to our table. I explained it wasn’t a matter of taste and that I would get sick if I ate it. The server seemed very sorry, but said there was nothing that could be done other than I could order something else for myself and my wife could eat the scallops. I ordered the tune roll, which was decent, but left still amazed that a chef would deny someone a good experience, or any explanation as to why someone with an allergy could not get food remade. Not even a token small discount in the bill. I worked in the industry for 13 years, and never told a customer “Sorry… the chef says he won’t remake your food because… well he just won’t.” We travel to Yakima, on business, frequently, and will probably not be going back to WaterFire.
