We gathered here for my good friend's retirement party.
My husband and I had never been, so we didn't know what to expect. We arrived early to be sure of a parking spot.
When we entered under the green awning we were in the main bar area. Thinking there might be a reserved room in the back, we walked to the left of the bar into another part of the establishment. What a pleasant surprise to see another bar and a much larger room. This area contains tall tables and stools, a stage and a pool table. That's where we gathered.
The atmosphere was perfect for a group of friends to casually gather for a retirement celebration.
The menu was limited for Lenten Friday diners, but the food we ordered was delicious. Crinkle Fries were crisp on the outside, hot and tender on the inside. They were served in a good size basket with a side dish of ketchup. Mozzarella sticks came 5-6 per serving with a dipping dish of marinara. They were so good that we could have easily eaten 6 more. The pretzel bites are "incredible". Hot and tender with a melted butter flavor that teases your mouth to crave more. My favorite was the cheese quesadilla. Thinking we would have to settle for boring tortillas with melted cheese between the layers (and no meat), I was not expecting what we were served. The tortillas were crisp AND tender, filled with a combination of cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms, making it a taste-bud treat. This was rounded out with a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Be aware that the kitchen does not officially open until 5 PM.
Our server (I can't remember her name) was just back from maternity leave and never missed a beat. She kept up with orders and tabs, always with a smile on her face.
I would highly recommend this place for any gathering of friends, family, neighbors, co-workers...or a night out with your special someone.
