Arrived at 14:30 on Sunday afternoon without reservation. Told that to wait at the sofa for 5-10mins then we will get a table. Another waiter came to take the order for the drink, we finished the drink and still no one took us to the promised table. After the total wait of 30mins or so we asked when can we get a table, the guy who promised us at the beginning then changed his speech to “oh I don’t know, we have a lot of reservations. :)” A very pleasant wait :) nonetheless, we had food here before, it was nice. I guess you need to be lucky to meet the right host at the front otherwise you only get to enjoy the drink and cozy vibe but apparently not the food. We had high hopes when we booked the place, but it turned out to be an absolute average. The food, service etc were not able to make any impact for the price point of the place. The place itself is located beautifully and is grand & very nice, still that doesn’t cover up for the par average food and service. We were there for an after-funeral get together. The service was friendly, polite, and fast, even when it was busy. The food was excellent but the appetizers especially stood out to me. My friend wanted to eat here since he came here often due to the accessibility with the wheelchair. I on the other hand never visited this place before. When I went inside the interior gave a warm welcome, it felt really pleasing already. We started our dinner with a “Smulplankje” (€7.50 p.p) which had all types of different appetizers which we both enjoyed. Also I had the “Vennepers Blond” a unique brew made for the restaurant which was great! For our main course my friend ordered a pancake with cheese and bacon (€11) and I ordered the spareribs (€22), these were really tender and easy to pull of from the bone. We did need to wait a while to get our second drink which was a bummer. As dessert I ordered a Brownie cheesecake (which was the chefs dessert) with a Kiss of Fire (€9)(an alcoholic coffee drink). Overall I really enjoyed the first time staying here and I would recommend it to others! Very nice modern restaurant offering lots of space in and outdoors! Parking is easy as well. The menu both offers a wide selection of great typical Dutch “Pannenkoeken” but also your regular burger, spareribs, etc. Attentive staff.

Superb food, superb service and catered for gluten free. All of the pancakes were gluten free too! Highly recommended. Beautiful venue with a warm, homely and welcoming feel about it. It'll.be beautiful in the summer months.
