The food is always good, but every time we visit, it seems like the side salads like the coleslaw and cucumber salads are not fresh enough and way too cold, like they made it the previous day and kept it in the fridge. Those salads are not supposed to be kept ready in the fridge, and I wish they would do those fresh, as any other restaurant at that level. Other than that, the food is great! I went to Vasilis for the first time and came away impressed. The decor of the place was beautiful; service was excellent. Food was very good. For appetizers we had octopus, taramasalata, beet salad, calamari. All were excellent. Favs were calamari and taramasalata. Main course - braised beef with potatoes and carrots. Gave it a 4/5. Felt beef was a little overcooked. Parmesan Potatoes were amazing. I did try my brother in-laws lamb chops with Greek lemon potatoes. That was a 5/5 but recommend ordering lamb medium rare to get most flavor. Overall excellent experience and would go back. We waited for 15 min until some people stopped by our table. I was mad because it was an empty restaurant. The server just chose to ignore us. Maybe I encountered the racism treatment like other customer reviewed. The foods were okay, but overpriced.
