They have a big chain look and a hometown taste! Valerie’s is Maine in a restaurant. This is a must visit for me every time I’m in town!

I was 1 of a party of 5, and it was my first visit. The restaurant was busy. I ordered the Full Belly breakfast. Each of the other members of the party ordered something different. I thought the blueberry pancakes looked a bit light in color, but they were cooked all the way through and were delicious. All 5 of us were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the servings.
Our server was, shall we say, very easy to hear (loud). It was a bit startling, He seemed to also be a bit distracted or inattentive. He missed a couple of orders, but when corrected, he took care of it satisfactorily. Even considering this, I enjoyed the food, the company, and the nostalgic diner atmosphere.
I do recommend Valorie's Scratch Kitchen with only the smallest of reservations. If you are prepared for the waiter, you will be just fine.

Granted, it was busy but we didn't get our order for 45 minutes after being seated. others around us were seated after us received their orders before us and received better service. The Mac and cheese and fries were good but the chicken salad was gross. I don't plan on ever going back!

We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Someone came to take a drink order for us right away and said our server would be right with us. Our server came over quickly and was great. The menu was full of things I wanted to try, and I was very happy with my Monte Cristo French toast. The staff was all very nice, we were there close to close, and the servers were all doing a very thorough job cleaning.
Had a great time. Will go back for sure!

Monte Cristo Sandwich
The food is nothing special. I've been a few times and haven't finished my meal either time. Good time to mention that I am a long time member of the "Clean Plate Club" so not finishing a meal isn't a good sign for the restaurant. My recent experience I got a breakfast burrito, the bottom was dripping with butter and was unpleasant to eat.
The atmosphere is good, it's nice inside.
The service is always top notch and the servers are extremely friendly. Unfortunately I go to restaurants for food, not to make friends.
They did make a cool mickey mouse pancake for my daughter. Although it was huge and a lot for a 2 year old. That just meant Dad would get to eat some of it (especially since I couldn't finish my burrito)

My daughter Laurie brought me there. The meal was great. The crew was promoted. And the chef made sure it was hot and plentiful. Will go back soon.

Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was hot and fresh. The location is perfect with plenty of parking. I really enjoyed the fact this restaurant offers a children's menu.

Service was great. The restaurant was spotless as well as the restroom. I only had scrambled eggs, toast, home fries and coffee so other choices may be better. Coffee was really bad. It was weak and sour. Eggs were plain and ok as well as the toast. Home fries were very bland and soggy. Kicker was I had a piece of plastic in my eggs. I brought it to the attention of our waiter and we determined it probably was a bristle from the grill brush. He apologized and gave a big discount on our bill and offered to provide another breakfast (I declined due to time). So the service is worth going for and again to be fair, I didn't have anything else on the menu so I can't speak to that.

Fantastic lunch here! One of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had, ordered on the server's recommendation, and it was ginormous! Seasoned fries were yummy, service was quick and attentive, table/flatware/restrooms, all clean✔️
I ESPECIALLY loved the flatware. Thank you Valerie's for providing decent flatware with which to eat. I'll most certainly be back!!
