Amazing seafood! Had crab cakes and stuffed shrimp, best I’ve had in a long time! Almond crusted snapper was delicious! I’m picky about seafood(originally from Louisiana) and have found very few places that do it well. What a great place!! Only one time the place smelled fishy, but has consistently served great food! I have been eating here for 10 years and they have the most unique and delicious food. My favorite dish is there baked whole red snapper with shrimp and crab topping. Their salad has cantaloupe, pineapple and grapes in it. With a vinaigrette sauce. It is wonderful! The bread is served hot and the butter soft! What more do you want. Great choices of seafood with great spicy flavor! Tender calamari rings with Cajun dipping sauce, oysters on half shell....The stuffed shrimp are amazingly tasty! Food was decent and our server Jack was very nice, but we were very surprised by the bill. No prices on the specials or drink menu. Two drinks and two main dishes came to $144 CAD (108 USD). Me and my wife passed through one day last month talking about trying out the the food.Was pretty excited about coming to your establishment. Only three tables in the restaurant Stephani was our waitress had an appetizer great but when ordering food for lunch broccoli was hard as a rock,I asked for new lemons for my fish and shrimp because the ones she gave me where so old and dried out… she simply told me no and that that’s all they serve… Then I wasn’t satisfied with the food.. I took a bite from the shrimp and couldn’t finish anything else so when I asked her to see if she could maybe work with us on ticket she assured me she couldn’t do anything because I took a bite of one shrimp…I was very disappointed that she told me that there was no one in charge and not going to do anything about it…I got up to ask a different waiter and he also told me that there’s no one in charge no management…Also two other tables that where there had to get up and ask for refills on there drinks and got upset the waiter was just focused on his phone… BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! Absolutely amazing food and service. Everything was home-made and delicious. I can’t remember the gal’s name, but she was such a great waitress to where I asked if she owned the place. I’ve been to the restaurant next door tons of times for beer and pizza and can’t believe I’ve never come here. I highly recommend Valdo’s and will definitely be back soon. Kudos to the waitress, kitchen manger, and cooks. I’d rate this as one of my top 5-10 restaurant experiences ever and I’ve been all around the world a ton of times.
