Very cute Cafe, friendly staff and decent prices I had a crispy chicken uptown salad and my hubby had the pepper burger and we were both happy. A very quaint little spot tucked into a short mall. They make special coffees that I did not try but looked amazing! Jennifer was our server, and she was very polite. She was not the type that hovers but was attentive. We sat in the bar area that was well lit and well stocked. The meal was outstanding!! The location is perfect for a great lunch, (the Swiss fondue was to die for!), and then enjoy shopping!! Our family doesn't go out to eat very often, but we were in desperate need of some family time and break from life for a moment. Uptown Cafe was definitely what we needed. The service here was superb; Karen was very pleasant, and was on top of anything we needed. Our meals was excellent, and were perfectly portioned. We only come to Oregon once a month, and I think we are going to make Uptown Cafe a part of that monthly routine. Thank you for a wonderful experience. If I wasn't driving later, I would have tried The Carmel Apple! The Eggs Benedict brought me in, and I was not disappointed! Plus, the hashbrowns were some of the best I've had! Very cool decor also! I've been here multiple times and everything it's delicious. I HIGHLEY recommend getting either the fish tacos or the BBQ chicken tacos because those are the greatest tacos EVER. I really enjoyed the food and drinks. It was just a bit more expensive than what Google says and the music was a bit hard to listen to sometimes. Which I understand is a personal preference. This is one of my regular breakfast spots. However I don't stop in that often anymore as the service has gone downhill. It's still better than the labor temple, but slow is the word. No smiles. Had to flag down our server for every little thing. I do love the biscuits and gravy here. Best in town. The hash browns are always underwhelming. Not crispy, and unseasoned. I know that I'm not the only person whom doesn't care for the service here as there was a lot of unhappy people waiting on the servers all over the restaurant. Might just order ahead and get it to go from now on as I do like the food. I had the southern Benedict and the wife had the half order of biscuits and gravy. Very nice interior decor and vibe. The outside looks a bit bland and it's in a strip mall plaza so I was pleasantly surprised with the interior design and feel. I sat outdoors on the patio as it was a nice day. Small patio but very cozy. Service was slow (they were pretty busy) and not very warm. But, my food arrived correctly and it was delicious so I'll be back! I really wanted to try breakfast but they only serve breakfast until 11am so I had to have the Monte Cristo.
