First time here and it wont be the last. I had the wrangler which was prime rib with cajun and bbq sauce on a long roll and my partner had an open faced hot roast beef sandwich. Both came with french fries. Waitress was friendly and prompt. They also have a huge enclosed (for the cold weather)patio with its own bar.

Today is my nieces birthday and we just had a blast here, celebrating her special day! Staff is incredibly friendly and fun… And I really love the atmosphere… It reminds me of the shore… It’s got that tropical feeling about it… And the food was very good… But the sweet potato fries were a bit over done… And the breaded mushrooms, ( even though they were tasty)… we’re a bit of a disappointment. Because you bite into this puffy mushroom and it’s a little tiny mushroom inside… What? That’s nuts! The Irish nachos was sort of unusual and interesting.But ,overall , it was a enjoyable experience. It was our first time eating here. They offer great food and service. My wife and I both had prime rib sandwiches (photos) of varying size, and they were exceptional. Needless to say we both had a great dining experience. I'm sure we'll be back here soon to perhaps try many other offerings on the fairly extensive menu. Highly recommended if you're in the area. We [2] visited on a sunday evening, so it was fairly busy for early evening. Service was a little slow but you never know what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe they are a little short handed. We just ordered sandwiches, they were good. And drinks were satisfying. Would recommend, but remember to plan extra time as they claim they make everything fresh to order, which I do believe. I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Trappe Tavern, and I must say that it was a truly memorable experience. The famous prime rib sandwich lived up to its reputation and was truly excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection and had a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that was simply unforgettable. The accompanying bread was fresh and the sandwich was perfectly seasoned, making every bite a true delight. But what really made the experience at the Trappe Tavern special was the atmosphere. The restaurant had a great vibe, making it the perfect spot to share great conversation over a quality meal. It was clear that the restaurant had a long history and a loyal following, making it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The staff at the Trappe Tavern were also fantastic, providing attentive and friendly service throughout my meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations for drinks and sides to accompany my meal. It was clear that they took pride in providing excellent service to their customers, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.

We come to the Trappe on a weekly basis. Sometimes we even go twice a week. Haven’t had one thing yet that we didn’t like. Our top meals that we always get include the French onion soup and the tavern cheesesteak. We often get the tavern rib and the French dip (the au jus is freaking incredible) Went again for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Absolutely amazing cheesesteak and tavern rib sandwich. Had a side of sweet potato fries, so delicious. Service was great even tho they were so busy!!!! Great food, fun patio. Food is seriously some of the best bar foods I’ve had in the area. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

The experience of the Trap tavern last night was nothing less than unsatisfying we ordered a steak sandwich and a BLT sandwich and a french onion soup to start that was our entire order It took me 20 minutes to get my French onion soup and another 45 minutes to wait for our regular food, there was no reason for this our server blamed it on the party of 100 people upstairs.. and the outdoor seating but I went and checked on both the upstairs party of hundred people already had their food.. it was catered there was food up there already and there was no a la carte of everybody ordering individual dishes. The outdoor seating area was not packed at all. and when we finally got our food The BLT sandwich that I had ordered the bacon was precooked and hard as a rock bacon should be freshly cooked and soft and chewy and a little bit crunchy it shouldn't be hard as a rock , the steak sandwich that my guest had also gotten was a prime rib sandwich, prime rib is expected to have some gristle on it and some fat but this was excessive if they need help in the kitchen or they need more staff they need to do so I don't know what's going on with this place but every waitress was apologizing to their table for the long wait that was extremely excessive we will not be returning to this place again . November 2022 Pub atmosphere with a big bar and lots of TVs in a building over 200 years old. Very good prices with a standard American fanfare menu. The cheesesteak was really good, very generous on the meat with a fresh roll, just a tad too greasy. The prime rib sandwich was okay, very fatty and the fries were generic. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is upbeat and fun, and we've always had attentive service. They have a prime rib every night, if that's your thing, but anything on the menu is really good. They have homemade soup every night, multiple bars and TVs, and different specialty nights.
