This place was so great - would definitely go band here again! Such fun decor, menu items, and super friendly staff. The food and drinks lived up to the hype too. Really enjoyed the Bloody Mary flight and couldn’t get over the maple syrup bacon one! Highly recommend this spot. Mixed emotions with overall experience . Wait times were not an issue and tables turned over fast , service and staff was great very attentive. Food is pretty and well flavored drinks are good and affordable , coffee was basic but at $4 underwhelming, biggest issue is for the cost, food was cold 3 different meals same . Good place for tourists with the atmosphere location, but for locals in my opinion there's better options. Overall 4/5 This place used to be AMAZING but I think the quality has gone down a bit after the expansion and addition of many other locations. The service is still great and I love the imaginative and creative menu but I hope next time I dine here my food is warm. Food 3.5/5 Huevos Rancheros The best part about the dish is the chimichurri sauce. The home fries were alright but also cold. I wish the food didn't come cold and that the portions were larger. Breakfast Burrito This definitely wasn't bad flavor wise but it was also not warm. I wouldn't get it again. Service 4.5/5 When we arrived the host told us there was a 45 min to an hour wait and we put our names on a waitlist for 2. I got a text 10 minutes later that our table was ready. Our waiter was attentive and came right up to us. Ambiance 5/5 Quirky and fun is the name of the game for The Friendly Toast. You will find odds and ends and knick-knack all over the walls and hanging from the ceiling at this restaurant. Some of my favorites include a KFC chicken bucket lamp and a giant hanging seahorse statue. Service Dine in Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

First...get on the wait list! It's worth the wait! Fun, friendly atmosphere. A must for brunch when in Portsmouth. A lot of scrumptious choices 😋 absolutely delicious. You won't be disappointed. GREAT place! The atmosphere, decor, cleanliness, menu variety, food and drink seasonal specials, and staff make this place a must-visit! I was excited from the moment I entered and wish I lived closer. You will not be disappointed. My server, Maddie, was so friendly, helpful, and provided great food recommendations. There is no better place in Portsmouth to have breakfast. I ordered their Eggs Benedict, a huge glass of grapefruit juice and a cup of coffee at the bar. Great atmosphere! The wait was worth it.
