The service is great, the food is amazing, and the Atmosphere is friendly and typically what you expect from a simple irish tavern. Difference is... the pizza is absolutely amazing. As a regular we get it religiously. I'd say it'd be worth a family dinner trip from Chicago on one of their event nights! Or, go in Tuesday for their half price pizzas. Best combo's ever. I went to visit the Cottage in Crystal Lake monday night to sample their fabulous Monday night special of jumbo shrimp. Once again The Cottage did not disappoint and delivered once again. My server/bartender Danielle handled a very busy night all by herself In a very organized and efficient manner. Her personality and demeanor invited you to stay even longer than what you intended to stay. Interacting with who I found out to be the regulars who were Frank, Mick McHenry, and John made it all the more an enjoyable experience.
