My FAVORITE place for breakfast! So much so, that I am willing to drive 40 minutes from my house to the Lee's Summit location while I await the return of the Independence one! I have been eating here for years and I have never had a bad experience or meal! They always make me feel welcome, no matter how busy they are, and THAT COUNTRY BENEDICT!! OMG, I swear it's my all time favorite!! A must bring for out of town families when they visit. You will certainly send them back home with something great to remember from KC! Was so sad to hear of the original owner's passing, I'd seen him in there and met him a few times in the early days and he was just a good 'ole boy and one of the many reasons I would always come back. I cannot say enough great words about him and what he created, you could tell by how well things ran, the smiles, the quality of the food, the ambiance, that he was the genuine article! Kansas City needs to have a Big Biscuit Day in his honor! A true man of KC!

Have been a Big Biscuit fan for years. The only gripe I have is that locations dont carry Heinz 57 as a condiment. Other than that it's rarely a long wait, but service is quick, professional and efficient. The menu is adequately sufficient with plenty of options to include a healthier side with all items both fairly priced and portioned just right...

Friendly, efficient, service. Had eggs, ham and hash browns. All were very good. It’s nice having the coffee carafe on the table. The only negative were the biscuits as they were flavorless and hard. I’m from the Deep South, so I suppose it is to be expected. I would eat here again.

Friendly staff, sizable portions at reasonable prices, and food that tastes good and will fill you up. A bonut (biscuit donut) was a fun experience but the consensus was stick with just a biscuit with gravy. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and salted, and the traditional Benedict did not disappoint. They truly mean it when they say the pancakes are plate size, and those are some hefty plates. The blueberry pancakes we tried were delicious. In summation I'd happily give this place a 'I'd go back again' rating.

I would leave zero stars if possible. Can't tell you anything about the food because we couldn't get a single server to acknowledge us. Watched 3 of them walk around take orders, look me in the eyes and turn away. After 15 minutes we left. They were not busy at all, so to have them ignore a customer was mind blowing. Husband said the food was good last time he went, but not sure I want to waste time trying again of they can't even serve the customer.

5 stars across the board. Fantastic food, very good quality and they fill your plate up and make sure your dollar goes extremely far. Service again is absolutely perfect, they Check on customers regularly and have amazing attitudes and even give very good suggestions on good food. Atmosphere is again 5 stars. It's exactly what a breakfast restaurant should be clean, classy, and just extremely family friendly highly recommended for anyone going through Kansas city.

Came in just after noon on New Year's day, so we fully expected a wait. Hostess told us about 30, and while I understand that estimate is subjective, it was nearly an hour. That wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't for the fact that by the time we were seated, nearly half the restaurant was empty, and there were more than a dozen people waiting to be seated. I have no idea why the delay in seating people but tables sat unoccupied for at least 15 minutes prior to my group being seated. Food and server were great.

This place is a no brainer for breakfast. I have never been disappointed. I ordered online most recently and the process was super easy. My food was hot and ready by the time I arrived to pick it up and it was DELICIOUS! I'm a petite person but I feel like each portion can serve 2 people or make 2 meals as they are HUGE! The pic shown is the leftovers!

I placed my order and I tipped the girl. I asked for butter and syrup for my son's pancakes several times. Also, I specifically requested no butter on my toast, but it was included. In addition, I ordered oatmeal, but as you can see in the photos the bananas are bad. I had to pay two dollars extra for that.

Prep to wait, at least 35-45 minutes if going around breakfast/brunch time of the day.
The food comes out relatively quick. Can see why they have the name “Big” biscuit. The food was good enough, the pancake could have been cooked a little longer (undercooked and soggy). Though the serving size will definitely have you feeling stuffed and satisfied.
Worth going nonetheless if you’re in the area and what breakfast. Though there is a wait.
