Incredible place. We love walking our dog at Cliveden and this restaurant is super dog friendly so perfect for a post walk lunch. The food is always excellent (fish and chips is wow!) and even the dog gets her own menu and place with a blanket at the table. The service is excellent and the food keeps us coming back. Well done Astor Grill! Shout out to Davey the Waiter, thoughtful and attentive, thank you 🙏
Very disappointing. The staff were far too casual. The food is average…. £97 for basically a chicken Kiev on a waffle and 2 glasses of wine. You get blown away by the surroundings of the main house but I wouldn’t rush back for the food or the service….. all just average.

Naresh, Luca and the team always make us feel so at home.
With the exception of one minor issue (that was quickly rectified), our Christmas Eve lunch was perfect.
Thank you.

Great meal after a long dog walk around Cliveden House. The food is always very good and reasonably priced and dogs are welcome

Very disappointing and terrible value
While the staff were friendly and helpful and the venue wasn’t too bad though not warranting the prices charged here.
The fish and chips at £ 26 per portion were so greasy that the paper they were served on pretty much disintegrated from the excess fat. After fighting through the thick batter there was a tiny sliver of fish in the middle. We have had much better from local high street take always at a fraction of the price.
The chateaubriand was reasonably pleasant, which was reassuring since it cost £85 for 2, though really, for the money, this was nothing special.
The dessert was a farce. I was really looking forward to a caramelised banana, as described in the banana split but instead got a plain banana that had been but in half and scorched on the flat side. No sign of any caramelisation at all, just burnt. The ice cream was cheap shop bought vegan version and very lack lustre with some cheap glacé cherries on top. It couldn’t have been much worse.
Shame that the food was such a let down here and we were very disappointed considering the high prices. We were even overcharged for an already overpriced cocktail, £28 instead of £24.
I would highly recommend going elsewhere and avoiding here.

We had a astor burger and spaghetti tomato sauce.
My burger had a bad taste and gave me trouble later. The spaghetti was al-dente but tomato sauce tasted like supermarket. The plaiting and bill was as expected. The people working there was very friendly.
