Truly I tell you, this is the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to in the US. You can tell how much they care about service and presentation the moment you walk in. The food ranges from traditional to creative and are all phenomenally executed. The best part is, you can sub white meat chicken for dark meat chicken —and their dark meat chicken is so top notch you won't be able to find a trace of fat or tendon. You'll think that you're eating white meat chicken but you'll know it's dark meat from how juicy it is —because let's be real: "white meat is the breast, dark meat beats the rest". It's hard to pick a favorite here because I legitly loved everything I've tried here so much that it would be like choosing a favorite child —if all of your children were angels. Today I celebrated my son's birthday at Tashan restaurant, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our celebration was perfect. One of the highlights of the evening was the attention to detail during the cake cutting ceremony. The staff surprised us by bringing out beautifully lit sparkle candles, adding an extra touch of magic to the moment. The buffet spread offered a delightful array of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, each one bursting with flavor and freshness. Whether you're a meat lover or prefer plant-based options, Tashan has something to satisfy every palate. What truly sets Tashan apart is the owner, Vishal. He personally ensured that our event ran smoothly, accommodating last-minute changes to the guest list and table bookings with ease. His professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. Overall, I can recommend Tashan restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. The food was excellent, but not exceptional. On the same level as the best Indian restaurants in the area. They had a very creative menu. The one thing that bothered me about our experience was that while the flavors and taste were delicious, our food was very bland, it has no spice/heat to it at all. It occurred to us after eating it, that the waiter did not ask us how mild or spicy we wanted our food. We asked the folks at the table next to us who we had been chatting with periodically throughout our meal, if their food was spicy. They said YES! They said the waiter asked how spicy they wanted it and they had a discussion of the heat level. We asked our waiter why he didn't ask us about the heat level and he said dished just come as they are--some are spicy, some are not, and that the waiters don't ask how spicy you want your food. Clearly that was a lie. Nearly every person eating in the restaurant was Indian. I am sure they asked those people about spice level. Also, the chef visited out table at the end of the meal. So we mentioned how the flavors were delicious but there was no spice or heat at all. He just deflected and made jokes and didn't respond to that comment. It was weird. Clearly they treated us differently because we were a table of 3 caucasian people. That left a bad taste in our mouth. We picked this restaurant because it got great reviews and when we walked in and saw nearly all Indian people, we thought that was a good sign! We went for my mum's birthday dinner and everyone on staff was so lovely! I don't go out to eat super often but this restaurant made me feel comfortable and the food was excellent! I got the chicken byriani and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes chicken and/or byriani.
