Wonderful food and drinks. We enjoyed the lychee mule and a local beer. The yuca and chips with salsa are great starters. The adults ordered salads with lots of fresh ingredients. Incredible service from William who was attentive and quick. Enjoyed our lunch very much!

Avocado Cilantro Egg Rolls
One of the best places in town. My all-time favorite! We ate there many times and never had a bad experience. Food, ambiance and service are all five stars. Everything is freshly made and delicious.

Everyone here is really friendly. Fantastic customer service. We started with queso, which was pretty good. I had 3 tacos: Baja, Korean carnitas, and a Thai chicken taco. I was pretty underwhelmed by all of them. The tortillas weren't great and the best flavor out of all of them was the peanut sauce on the Thai chicken. I eat a lot of tacos and this isn't the place I'll go to in the future. It does have a great bar and lots of beautiful people if that's what anyone is looking for.

I can’t speak for the other locations but if they are as good as this one you can’t go wrong. The food and service is always amazing (short rib taco and yuca fries is a must try). This location offers indoor and outdoor patio sitting.
Absolutely delicious! Our server was friendly and service was quick--for late lunchtime anyway, not too many people. I got the Trio with Shrimp Tempura and Rich Man's (steak) tacos and the chips--the sauce on the steak wasn't my personal favorite but good taco overall, and the shrimp taco was perfectly fresh! The churros for dessert were also perfection, I would come back just for them. 10/10!

Anyone that reads my things probably knows I've been pretty hateful of the service industry since the pandemic began and ended. All the good people left and didn't come back. Taqueria Tsunami was and is an amazing surprise hiding in a strip mall in Athens GA.
The staff were quick, helpful, and wonderful. Good drinks, good food, and good service.
As the name suggests, this is Spanish and Japanese influences brought together.
The app... there is only one on the plate in the pic because the Mrs. And I gobbled them down so quickly. A chunky guacamole wrapped in egg roll with 2 dips? Hell yes! Then shrimp tempura taco. Oh my!!! I was an incredible fan of the Korean beef taco, but thats just me. Served a bit cold and that's not my thing. The Mrs. had a sashimi kinda poke bowl that she took home with her and ate all evening because of all the textures.
If you find yourself in Athens for a game, a concert, or just shopping... track this place down.

Jeepers!!!! What a find. We were shopping and needed lunch. The restaurant has a nice vibe, a friendly bar, is a great size and had outdoor seating. The food is a combination of Asian and Mexican and is excellent. The food is fresh, well presented and portion sizes are good. I had a Chicken Enchilada bowl and my wife a couple of tacos and tots. Service and food prices were excellent. Some fin adult drink specials including a caipirinha ( not sure about the ginger addition though). We felt that we really got our money’s worth….the first time in a long time. Definitely worth finding.
1st time going my meal was great besides being cold. My husband's meal was very bland...he got the southwest rice bowl with tofu. 2nd time we went we ordered 3 different vegan tacos. I can't remember the names...1 was Eastern flavors and was amazing. Another was like a garden one that was ok and the 3rd was a taco with like, a brick of tofu in it and it was horrible. Please learn how to season and marinade tofu bc it's only awesome if u do!! Both times we went, our food was cold...all of it except for my son's beef tacos (that he couldn't get enough of!!) I personally have a huge problem with food coming to the table less than warm, so I won't be back. But it is a good place to eat with vegan options if you don't mind temp. & unflavored tofu. The Chinese cauliflower app was extremely great the 1st time...but the 2nd time it was soggy.
