I went for breakfast. It’s breakfast.. . Kinda hard to mess that up. They were the most generous with my bacon! Usually places only give me 2-3 strips. I definitely had at least double, maybe triple. My only complaint, and it’s kind of a big one because I ordered a waffle, is that it was not hot when it came to me. But the service was great and the atmosphere was good. Was a great meal at a great price. Service was good and attentive even though they might be a little understaffed. The dining room and bathroom are both impeccably clean. This is close to the airport and is open 24 hours. This is a great stop before or after a flight. Plenty of parking. My husband and I are traveling in Philly and we’re looking for a place open early. Star gate Diner is open 24 hours, so we decided to give it a try. The service was friendly and the food was decent for diner breakfast but the home fries were bland and could use some seasoning. Overall, a good spot for late night or early morning dining. Waited over 20 mins to have our orders taken. One waitress complained she didn't want to take our table. Another waitress was playing a game on her phone while walking around. Zadia, took our order, served us and was very attentive. It seemed like she was doing everything there too. The food was not good. Their panini was on a hoagie roll, and their chicken breast was served with cold tomatoes and bell peppers on the side. Soup noodles were soggy, crackers were stale. After spending the majority of our night Dashing, the Husb and I decided to stop in here for some breakfast. It's our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. We ordered the Country Omelette and the Baked Meatloaf. Our sides were Applesauce, Potato Salad, and Coleslaw. Sooo yummy!!! 🍱 *Great service! Gina was very professional, composed, sweet, kind, and covered the entire dining area. 😊 *There was a group of 6 that were seated next to us, and they were horrible towards the server and the rest of the staff. They were loud, rude, drunk, and foul-mouthed. Because of one kitchen mistake, the group decided to pack up their unpaid orders, and walk out on their $135 check. I hope karma comes back to them. 😡 But in all seriousness, we had a great time at the Stargate Diner. Please be kind to your service staff. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat and had a fantastic burger that was cooked to perfection. The wait-staff are as friendly as can be and have great menu recommendations if you're feeling split between choices, and the fellow patrons are also very good spirited too.
