Had a reservation and was told they didn’t not have a table for us so they sat us at a dirty 8 top with other customers though we marked it as a date online. It took 2 different times for us asking to be moved before the host moved us holding back no attitude. My food was good…until I found a hair in it. Everything here is big. The pancakes, biscuits, burritos everything. Also very good. Nothing like a fluffy pancake. Oh and the coffee is a must. I had the vanilla latte. I updated to 5 starts because it is the 4th time I eat there and has always been a great experience. What I believe is the manager, she is always on top of it. She makes you welcome every time. We went on a weekday and it was not very busy which worked wonderfully. The counter service was super easy and the food came out fairly close to each other. The prices are slightly high however the atmosphere probably makes those prices work. They seemed to have a great selection of food and fun drinks to enjoy for a great meal! My new favorite "sit down" breakfast spot. Although the counter service is a bit odd, it seems to help with the restaurant's overall efficiency. Our food came out quick and hot and everything was very tasty. We were also attentively served after seated with frequent water refills and help getting a to-go box. Also, because the weather was perfect, we sat outside, and the atmosphere with rolled oaks in the background was wonderful. Highly recommend. Best Pancakes Ever! Great Atmosphere. Great Food. Great Service! You have to try this place when you’re in Auburn AL. We will definitely be back to try many more items on the menu. It ALL looks Awesome! We had the banana pudding pancakes and the strawberry shortcake pancakes and the cinnamon roll pancakes…and had the birthday cake pancakes that my daughter took back to her dorm room. Also had hash browns made with Freshly shredded potatoes and some great bacon. We look forward to eating there every time we’re in Auburn! We went to Staks around 1pm. It wasn't busy at all. You walk in, the host gives you your table number and menu, then you proceed to the counter to place your order and pay. You have a seat and your food comes to your table. Food was great. I highly recommend trying the smoked gouda grits!!! Mimosa was strong but lacked the watermelon taste I was expecting. Slight adjustment on how to order but pretty straightforward.. wait in line to pickup table number, then order at counter, sit at assigned table and they bring out your food. Food was delicious and well portioned - we enjoyed the Philly omelette and the cinnamon roll french toast! Despite ordering at the counter, servers were abundant and helpful for whatever you may need like extra napkins or drink refills. The complete shining stars this experience was the fried Chicken on the chicken stack. A huge piece of chicken that was cooked perfectly and seasoned deliciously. Lemon blueberry pancakes were good, but you'll want to get a side of syrup to go with them. The grits tasted like a combination of grits, gravy, and potato soup. Great flavor if it hits the spot. Truly eggceptional experience here this morning - would give more stars JUST for the Cinnamon Stack - o my goodness!!! Everything we tried was amazing: two egg breakfast came with a biscuit as big as my dog, the cinnamon pancakes made me wish I had more stomach space, and the chicken and grits were just unreal - that mushroom baschamel sauce is LEGIT!
