So we show up about 4:45 pm, over an hour before they close on a Saturday, and the bakery shelf was empty except a couple of blueberry muffins…atmosphere was good and service was good but not much food…..disappointing visit overall. Southdown was my dissertation bootcamp cafe last year, and I am so thrilled that I can call this cafe my home base. The staff are always so friendly, their coffee is one of the best in the area, and I love their food options. You need to try their cinnamon cardamom knot and the breakfast burrito...delicious! We love Southdown. It's our go to lunch date spot. I literally crave their grilled chicken sandwich on gluten free bread. My husband ordered the pesto avocado grilled cheese every time we go. Maple spice latte is my absolute favorite cup of coffee around. Glad Southdown opened in Port Jeff and now in Patchogue! I really enjoy their cold brew and lattes and the few baked snacks I've tried have been very tasty. Best coffee spot in Port Jeff by far!
