I love this place! Tried for the first time yesterday and the sushi was AMAZING! Better than rolls I’ve paid twice the amount for at a fancy restaurant in Seattle. They made awesome suggestions and I loved what I ordered. The staff working at the market was funny and friendly too. A hidden gem for sure!

What a surprise to live in Blaine for 4 years and not know or hear about this fantastic place. But I finally did. It was mysterious and exciting driving to this small convenience store that felt like it was in the middle of nowhere but its actually close to Birch Bay State Park. You order on a screen in the store and if you have trouble they are very helpful. They also have many different types of Saki. We loved the Gyoza and of course the Sushi was fantastic and presented with care!! Fantastic find!

The flavor of the food was good. The egg rolls were over fried and cold.. so they were sitting somewhere for along time. I had ask they be served before the main course and they came with the main course.If they would have been hot I’m sure they would get five stars. The main dish, Orange chicken was good but was put on a cold plate which cooled the food down way too fast. Heat your plates up chef.
You also need to turn the heat up in the restaurant. I was chilly the whole time I was in there. I will go back one more time to see if they can do better. Otherwise Wajnitas for me

Visited Birch Bay not too long ago and there weren't many dining options other than burgers. By chance another visitor at the state park told me about Skai. At first I was hesitant because it was out of a grocery store but decided to try it out anyways. I was soooo shocked at the quality of the sushi. Definitely not "convenience store" sushi as they have their own full kitchen. Fish was fresh and presentation was appealing. I definitely filled my belly that day. I had it again the next day and plan to stop by on my next vacation here.

Talk about good sushi. This guy is over qualified to be working in this place. I guess you got to do what you got to do. And I'm glad he's here cos we get to enjoy great sushi🍣🍥❤️

This is the best kept secret in whatcom county. Their food is phenomenal,and it's such a peaceful place to grab some take out only sushi and go park on the beach. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars because the specialty rolls are beautiful and tasty. Great job guys!!

So this sushi was SO GOOD! Really fresh and tasty. Melt in your mouth fresh. I put 3 ⭐️’s for atmosphere as it’s basically a place to just get take-out. Not a big deal for me but people might expect a restaurant vibe. The employees were super nice as well. My interaction was quick but a very friendly one. The only other thing that took me a bit to calm down about was the price. I’m from Canada and there’s a sushi restaurant on every corner so you can find cheaper prices. Then there’s our exchange rate as well. BUT, after enjoying this sushi so much I would pay for it all over again. 😊

Great spot for sushi to go. In an unexpected location near Birch Bay State Park inside of a general store. Great selection of sushi, sashimi, rolls and sake
