Excellent, our Waitress Debby was Awsome, can't get anybetter, Recommend To All. AAAAAAAAAAA
I order online from Shaws and find their services are great. I’ve never been disappointed. If there’s a question, I call they store, and they accommodate my requests. I don’t understand these negative comments. I truly appreciate having Shaws. I use Whole Foods as well as Amazon but always come back to Shaw’s.

I am confused if I like or hate this place. People complain about the high prices here but it’s Massachusetts what do you expect. They have the most delicious chocolate truffle bomb cake. (See pic) If you do delivery from here be mindful the delivery staff is young kids and will screw up your order. Had to knock off a couple of stars for expired food and bad produce. The staff is one second from a metal breakdown, don’t ask any questions. Some customers are even worse, had a man throw a complete tantrum when I didn’t move fast enough at self checkout. Hey buddy, I was trying to bag my things, it’s ok you don’t need to have a full on display of anger and spout toddler sounds! I’ll update if this store improves.

Update to response from manager You can word it however you want. But things are 2/4 dollars more than MB and other places. Your yellow stickers are never honored even with the loyalty program. Asking people to by 3-4 of each thing to get the discount is outrageous and maybe even illegal? Not sure. But it’s definitely sketchy to say the least. Used to be a decent store. But over the years just became run down overall. Sure they got somewhat of a make over. But employees here tend to have an attitude. They never and I mean ever have any STOCK of items. Just gone for ages. I don’t know who is doing orders. Or they are dealing with bad suppliers. Anyways. But most of all. Their prices are atrocious Even with their loyalty program. You get regular prices you’d find elsewhere. I know it’s easy for us Melrose folks to visit here. But heck even Whole Foods blushes at the prices. And that’s saying something. Long live Market Basket!

This place is gross. The front entrance smells like something died which is probably due to the recycling area or so I thought. The deeper I traveled into the store the smell remained. The deli lady ate a piece of someone's cheese order smh. The staff looks weathered to say the least. Isles were neat. Floors were clean. Produce department looked appropriate. 2/10 I will never return.

Good groceries store!
I shop for deals
Usually a good experience, until today. I entered the open, warm, and inviting entrance to Melrose Shaws only to be screamed at repeatedly by an employee. Well, I assume this belligerent and wall-wart fellow is employed by the great and clearly absently parented people of Shaws, as no identifiable clothing or name tag was worn by this unknown assailant. It soon became clear that the reason for his hectic vocal outburst, teetering on the edge of drunken incoherence was due to me, a hungry pedestrian, unknowingly entering a wide open automatic double door to enter the facility; his domain. The 'employee', or as I like to call him 'future civil lawsuit', managed to continue his raucous vocal stillbirths while reversing a small motorized personal relocation device. During this motorized rampage he managed only two words, "OTHER DOORS!!". Although only two words they were soon stacked upon each other, rapidly multiplying in repetition, volume, and amplitude, despite my recognition, a nod, and mild confusion, a misstep, all in response to his unparalleled level of pure anger. This communication, or bark of a small scared mammal, was further confused by the sheer lack of available visual cues, ie a sign, a closed door, an employee in uniform, or someone who can manage to speak without developing vocal fry. I had stepped before the king of doors and today was my judgement day. It must be understood that I had at first assumed this crudely draw character was an in-firmed or otherwise disable customer returning their motorized buggy. Although I don't believe the unnamed, and clearly lonely man should be terminated due to his inability to function as a normal human, I do believe Shaws should invest in a series of courses for him. I would humbly suggest that anger management be first, followed by one on casual and basic conversation, and then place setting.
