Perplexed by the great reviews, given the terrific Ethiopian options in the area. Veggie dishes are overpriced and portions mediocre. Also not particularly kid friendly with the bar crowd, so decided on take out. Was charged $10 for a refrigerated batch of supposedly authentic injera—when I opened the pack at home it smelled terrible and had to toss out. There was no expiration date and who knows how long it was kept in the fridge.

Had an absolute blast at Seb-Seb – this Ethiopian spot is a hidden gem that left us speechless! The moment we walked in, it felt like we stepped into our own cozy living room – minimal seating, but a nice bar, and two big screens giving off those laid-back lounge feels.
Now, let's talk about the food. We went for the Veggie Deluxe Combo, a feast of yellow peas, split lentils, kale, carrots, potatoes, black beans, red beets, cabbage, green beans, and salads. Seriously, each bite felt like a quick trip to Ethiopia, and the freshness of every ingredient made it taste like a home-cooked meal.
Then came the Doro Wot – chicken legs simmered in a sauce with boiled eggs. Spicy, tender, and oh-so-delightful. And the Lega Tibs – sautéed beef with onion, jalapeno, tomato – it was so good that our taste buds demanded an encore.
Big shoutout to the Seb-Seb crew – they took the experience to a whole new level. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. The staff was super attentive, knew the menu inside out, and their recommendation of honey wine was spot-on, perfectly complementing our meal.
Seb-Seb is a true gem and a must-try. Whether you're an Ethiopian cuisine fanatic or just up for something new, this spot is a game-changer. Incredible food, a friendly staff, and that warm vibe – it's perfect for a laid-back night out or catching a game with friends. I literally live around the corner from this restaurant and finally decided to give it a try. The owner is super sweet and accommodating. She consistently ensured that I was okay and that I was taken care of. The food was chefs kiss! Outstanding and very delicious. The vibe is chill and welcoming. This is going to become my new spot. A definite plus since it’s walking distance from my home. I’ll for sure be back.
