"Retro Dining". Milkshakes flavored and mixed to order. LARGE portions, scratch made foods. Good menu variety. Good prices. Friendly staff. Small place, seats maybe 40?

We love this place as a family! They have gone through some hiring challenges lately, which can cause a delay in getting food, but the food is consistently good, menu is massive and includes everything from soups, sandwiches, and burgers to breakfast all day. Our son loves breakfast here, pancakes and bacon specifically!

Sweetest waitress let us know they were very busy and we would have a wait.
Well I'm glad we waited. The food was amazing. Everyone was so nice, seems like they know all the customers. Giant portions. Everything is made from scratch.
The photos are of the chicken sandwich deluxe.

Great little diner. The menu is gigantic so there's a crazy amount of options. I got the crispy chicken burger which was beer battered and deep fried chicken breast. It was really big and really yummy, though lightly seasoned. A bit of the green tabasco worked great on it. The oil they used was fresh, which is crucial. It came with a ton of fries too, but I hardly ate any because my sandwich was so big. They definitely have some old school options on the menu like chicken gizzards and buttermilk, so it was a very unique and intriguing experience.

Good food. Friendly staff. Spent six hours chatting at a table with my sister. Even after we paid the bill they came around and made sure we were ok. Gave water. Was busy at first but then just had a few tables full as the afternoon wained.

After a short hike at the Wapato Lake National Wildlife Refuge noticed this delightful Diner just across the street. Food was excellent, friendly people, and this small Cafe is whimsically decorated with chicken and rooster images. Had the fried chicken dinner for lunch, very tasty and nice portions. I definitely want to come back and try some of their other delicious looking offerings!

Quality homemade food made with love and care. This is a must stop and try if you are making your way through town.
Expect daily specials on the menu and standing fried chicken options. Their homemade bbq sauce is awesome. My favorites here are their wings, friend chicken and club sandwich.
Breakfast is served all day. Everything on the menu is excellent. The staff is warm and the chef often comes out to say hi. Small town vibes with a smile
A unique roadside diner with a lot of small town flair. Extremely friendly staff and a great vibe. Worked well for a quick bite if you're ever passing through Gaston.
We were in the area visiting family, and we decided to swing by and check out the quaint little community of Gaston, population of around 650, as the next stop on The Great Oregon Burger Bucket List. A beautiful little town nestled away amongst gorgeous farmlands and hills in Washington County.
I branched out from the usual bacon cheeseburger and went with the "Roadkill Burger" - beef, bison, and sausage. A leaner blend but hearty and filling. Has a bit of an herbs and spice taste to it from the bison and sausage. The leaner blend makes it seem a bit dry compared to beef.
The old school steak fries were pan fried and amazing. Greasy but not too much. Fried with the chicken which gives a great flavor accent. Lightly salted. Glorious fries. Makes me wish I lived in Gaston so I could sit at the counter and have a mound of fries with a milkshake on a regular basis.
Chicken strips were a bit chewy, a bit greasy, and were delicious.
Another fun stop on my quest to have a burger in every town in Oregon, although not many are as beautiful of a drive as Gaston.
