Avoid this place. It is 100% a rip off. The positive: The staff was great. The negative: Everything else was not. First, the place was super dirty. Not what you would expect at Sand Harbor. Second, they really overcharge. I get that things are going to cost more at a place like this - but it was $15 for a bacon burger. No sides included (like fries or chips or anything). The burger was dry, way overcooked and there were a total of 2 slices of bacon. There are many places around Tahoe that are great to get food. This is not one of them. If you want to have your lunch while at Sand Harbor, bring a picnic. Sand Harbor Bar & Grill should be ashamed of the quality of the food they offer. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Cold beer on tap, hot counter order food, and an incredible view right on the shore. We really enjoyed the deck shaded by umbrellas and tall pines.

My family has been coming to this beach since I was in diapers, and I am now 27 years old. We came early to get a decent spot on the sand, and luckily found one. My dad and sister offered to go to the bar & grill to get everyone food and drinks. Naturally, a few of us stayed so that our spot wouldn’t get taken. I told my sister to order me a drink (whatever looks good) and she told my dad which one to order. The bar tender was side eyeing my sister and dad for ordering the drink. Twenty minutes later a park ranger comes over and scolded my father for “passing off a drink” to someone else. I offered to show him my ID, he ignored me and continued to tell us that if we went back to the bar & grill we would be “trespassing”. This experience was absurd. The restaurant owner lingered behind us to make sure order was restored. What a joke.

Owner is a loser, called the park ranger for a 50 year old getting a drink to bring back to a 27 year old, yet have seen him give trays of drinks to boats that definitely have underage people on it. Let’s get a new vendor in here!
