We love that this Irish bar/ restaurant is open late but is perplexed by the service. We order from the bar on the overnight, and that is fine, but at brunch, they seem to lose something. I had to replace the wobbly chair I was given and had to ask for water and soap to be refilled in the men's washroom. That was odd and easily could have been fixed by a normal opening checklist, which managers clearly didn't do. This is unforgivable in such a large restaurant. But the pepper shaker with only one hole? That's just weird. Shakers are given multiple holes so pepper and salt can pour. With one hole, air doesn't circulate, making it impossible to pour. This is extremely basic. Management must step up its game. The food was good and the servers were young and wonderful. The cooks and servers deserve better management. Absolutely loved our experience @ Rory Dolan's- we come to Rory's multiple times a year from Connecticut, been there 3x in last 5 months! Great food, wonderful meal (great talent in the kitchen!). a variety of dishes & very good pricing. loved the mini scones & hot bread & butter too. Great servers & bar tender (James) - attentive, warm & welcoming, professional & smiling. Atmosphere is so nice, you can come in relax, enjoy a meal or drink, I see small gatherings & celebrations there as well as very large ones too. I like that Rory's has a separate banquet room also. And there seems to be very little staff turnover- which means the staff like their jobs & are treated well! I discovered the valet parking last w/e - which is great! especially when we have my 94 year old father with us & he started using a walker last month (Jan 2024). Rory Dolan's is one of the well known Irish Pubs in Yonkers. Good food, large beer selection, live music on weekends and friendly staff. Just don't order the Corned beef and cabbage, they give you sliced corned beef round, not corned beef brisket. Love this restaurant/bar. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere, especially now with the christmas decorations. The service is great. It's definitely a place to sit and have a cold drink if you're in the area or even take a ride up from wherever you are. You won't be disappointed.
