I have been looking for an African food restaurant, yesterday I found this place and I went in today to try out the food. I got jollof rice, okra soup and egusi soup the food was so tasty everything was spiced to perfection!!! The food wasn’t too peppery it was just the perfect amount of spice and the owner is nice, food was out by the promised time and packaged really nice. Shes gained a customer and now I have a new restaurant. I hope to try pepper soup next time cause I really wanted that a lot. Thank you for the service. I had eaten the food and forgot to take pictures before lol that’s how good the food was!!! Definitely not what I expected but so worth it! If you are in the Merrillville area and have a craving for an African dish go and support this small business owned by a wonderful woman. I ordered the Egusi with goat meat/pounded yams, Fried Plantain and an extra piece of Whiting fish and all of it was delicious. Ms Rookz did not disappoint and I will be back to try more dishes.
