Stopped in for lunch one day a couple months ago. Ordered a corned beef Reuben and some chicken lemon rice soup. The positives, fast friendly service. The soup was pretty good, which you should expect from a diner/coney. The Reuben was so-so, the bun and thousand island might have been the highlights. Meat wasn’t the best quality, slightly overcooked, amount of meat was okay, but what got me was the stringiness of the meat and whoever cutting it not knowing how to properly slice corned beef, which is against the grain! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and 2 orders of chilli cheese fries. First of all my fries were COLD. I asked for my burger to be well done it was still PINK. I was extremely pissed to the point where I lost my entire appetite so I called to let them know the lady asked me if I wanted to being it back for them to make it over I declined and responded absolutely not I just want my money back she then stated it was no manager around and I couldn’t get my refund today and if the manager doesn’t call me back tomorrow call them. I ordered a coney special and a coney dog and received a coney special and a plain hot dog. The buns were hard and stale. The special was so dry and flavorless. The chili was the same. Flavorless brown goo. I just came back into town and was looking forward to some good coney's. I could have used some more mustard. I think it was a few drops on the special? It was a to-go order, but it wasn't even mustard packets in the bag. I hope my experience was a one-off, but that was $7 that went directly in the trash. My first time was my last. I heard Rocky's has a new owner must have a new cook also how can anyone ruin cornedbeef and cabbage? But some how you managed to. We were a party of 6 food was served cold to several people and one order was wrong. Don't plan on going back and won't recommend to anyone. Don't know what happened because they used to be good. If I could give 0 stars I would. My family and I went here about a week ago and spent $70 between the 3 of us… on Coney Island food! EVERYTHING on the menu is overpriced and the food just isn’t good. Their chicken lemon rice soup is not as good as it once was either. Almost everything is over $10+ like come on, this is Westland what are y'all doing?? In my opinion they’re taking advantage of the community making them pay for overpriced, under quality food. Not to mention the exterior of the restaurant looks so dark and gloomy - not inviting at all. Anyway, save your $$ and time and go to Leo’s if you want good quality Coney Island food.
