The impression about the service literally depends on the servicing of the most vulnerable ones. In our case, it was our best friend Sakis the Barbet dog. Restorans Neptūns was the first place in Latvia which treated our dog with open arms and offered water bowl, and cuddling uncondotionally :) The human food was really amazing for our Lithuanian taste buds. Generous helpings worked very well after getting wet in local swamps. Strongly recommended for every hungry and wet traveller with pets!

the restaurant is located close to the sea is a big plus. a cozy place and the food is so-so, the food was very salty. Would I go back to this restaurant 100% no.

Great place to have a meal together with the family, kids and/or friends. Variety of fresh beverages. Great sea food. A very cosy place just couple of hundred meters from the beach. Recommended for those who want to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of peace and relaxation.

Really you can have a meal with your dog on beside. They even offer a water for your dog without pricing. Food was good, tasty, but... I would like to have moore meat on my dish. I had Shashlik and for price 10,50 € per portion, I finde it to bit less. Grilled vegetables - excelent, but for additional price. So, in short - dogs friendly, good food.

Marvellous place. Food quality is exquisite, staff is really professional, serving time was relatively fast (restaurant was nearly full but we got our grilled salmon and steak ready in ~25 minutes), interior is really cozy and well executed and for kids there is amazing play corner as well as outdoor construction with slide and swings, both well made. Also, there are two nice fountains and patio

not a total disaster only because of cozy atmosphere. food is prepared from frozen prefabs, while prices are set on the level of more advanced restaurants

Terrible. Waiter was very unkind and we waited 30 mins with kid and still nobody came so wasnt able to make an order. We were declined to come inside as foreingn tourist were expected to come... Probably locals not so valuable here. Think twice before coming there...

Price for food quality is high. They obviously try to do good, but when all you taste in ceasar salad is cheap fish used in the sauce and cheapest hard cheese available on the market..... well, just bad food.

The camping at Neptūns is small-scale and has a laid-back atmosphere. There is electricity and the sanitary buildings are in good order. The staff was very flexible and kind in helping us. We brought a tent and car which only costed us 22€. Besides the restaurant, there is a little kiosk at the camping where you can buy some drinks or snacks. Very close to the beach (~100m)

Even though it is perfectly located in the sea dune area of Kemeri National Park and the quality of food is average, the service and staff have got large room for improvement. We arrived there late in the afternoon, not in the busy hours of the day, and the service was not only slow but awful. We were a company of 5 people and must admit didn't order any starter. One of us ordered chicken (which came first and would have become cold had the person waited for others to be served), about 7 minutes later came the steak (asked for rare, and it was medium rare, but that is ok) and a portion of pasta. Finally to our surprise came our long waited fish dishes (one of them was not the one we ordered - the waitress made a mistake), so I had to wait for another 15 minutes to be served! Obviously by the time they brought my fish everyone had finished the meals! We had to order another bottle of wine, which was another story - I was a bit shocked by the way they served the wine! They brought an open bottle and put it on the table, not even being bothered to let people taste it or suggest to pour it! If you ever decide to dine in this restaurant please bear in mind that the food is mediocre and the service is poor, even though the location is perfect, giving it 3 stars in my opinion. My recommendation to the owner is to send their staff for both English and Russian language courses, but more importantly a restaurant hospitality/service training course!
