Great location at a lake, nice surroundings and ok interiors. However, food is an absolute disgrace. Fish for kids seem to be from freezer and then deep fried. Caesar salad was anything but Caesar. Nice restaurant in on the route of the 'Plas' there. Good ambiance, nice and friendly people. Went there after a walk and had some drinks and fries with homemade mayonaise. Very nice and my niece and nephew enjoyed it very much. Only a bit pricey, but very nice to after a walk. Lovely staff, I went there to have some beers after a walk around the lake with my dog, we were really well received they even brought a bowl of water to furry friend. Unfortunately, we didn't eat so I cannot tell much about the food, but given their service I'd expect to be as good as everything else. You definitely should ask for the balcony, the view of the lake is simply stunning. PS: pets are allowed but you need to be in the balcony and if your pet is too "vocal" I wouldn't recommend because it will definitely bother other visitors given the place is very chill and quiet. Very nice food indeed. Carpaccio was delicious and the duo of lamb was also just as delicious. My friend had the burger and it looks lovely. Will try that next time I'm in the area. I did find the service a little slow here but have visited a few eateries this weekend in the area and it seems to be a common theme amongst them all. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This is once of the nicest restaurants in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. It has a beautiful deck with a Lakeview and a great ambience. Their menu has a beautiful selection of interesting dishes which also includes a section for kids. We enjoyed the Steak & Salad with fries which were well prepared and delicious. Whether you are planning a date or a family dinner, this place would be a great choice.

Second visit, this time during Sunday lunch time on the deck overlooking the lake. Temperatures up to 30 degrees C. Friendly staff and enjoyed a great tuna salad. Ps : parking close by (20m).

Located at a lake, which creates a nice atmosphere. Lovely cosy decorations and interior. Their menu is published in a magazine style. The bread was nice with garlic butter and olive oil with some... dark liquid? you'd have to pipette into the olive oil and then dip your bread into it. One of us ordered shrimps as a starter, but it was a cold starter, which he (and we) didn't expect. The rest of us ordered tomato soup but it was way too salty. We also ordered bitterballen to share. There were two types: Van Dobben and Holtkamp. We ordered the Holtkamp ones (since we are familiar with both, we knew the difference). When it was delivered and one of us ate one, it turned out to be the Van Dobben ones. Which was also visible on the outside. We asked the waitress "Are you sure these are the Holtkamp bitterballen?" "Yes these are the bitterballen" - and we were all thinking: We can see that these are bitterballen -_- But the waitress left. We asked another one and she basically said the same but this time we kept pushing if it was the right TYPE of bitterballen. After finally getting through Van Dobben and Holtkamp are different she finally checked with the kitchen and when she came back they realized a mistake had been made. They did apologize and the Holtkamp bitterballen would now be prepared but this did mean we had to wait longer for our food. This whole issue took up most of our time so this is why I deducted one star. The seafood salad was delicious and very well presented. They have amazing dessert options! Although my experience wasn't the best, I would like to give it a try again sometime!
