Going through Tehachapi, you have to stop off at the Red House BBQ. Eclectic and rustic this place is a BINGO. Counter ordering and then the staff delivers to the table. I had a half a rack of ribs, perfect amount for lunch, with delish slaw and side salad. The spicy sauce could've used more sauce for my hot palette. My husband had the very plentiful brisket sandwich with a side o of red cabbage slaw. So good. The hard working owner and staff were delightful.

Very disappointed in my Indian Taco with chicken. The fry bread was made with whole wheat, which made it very thick and heavy. I was only able to eat two small bites of the bread. Stopped to have lunch while on our way Vegas. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a very nice worker. I ordered a brisket sandwich and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were very delicious. Brisket were cut thick. But melted in your mouth. Very moist and filled with flavor. My wife is not a big eater and she almost finished her sandwich. Which had enough pulled pork to make another sandwich. I stopped in for lunch at Redhouse Barbecue after reading the online reviews. I had the brisket, salad, and beef stew. The brisket was tender and delicious. The beef stew was hearty and even had some mushrooms in it. The salad had the perfect mix with a homemade blue cheese dressing that was phenomenal.
