Love there pancakes, the potatoes-no seasoning the best for me. Always get the Two by four. Eggs are mostly cooked right. Everytime I go the eggs are never cooked to fast where they have a golden ring around them. HAPPY FOR THAT! Bacon/this time ham is always cook well. I already mentioned the pancakes. Our decision to grab breakfast at Real Texas Cafe while picking up family from the airport Sunday morning left us with a mixed impression. In summary, it was just an okay experience. Our breakfast orders spanned a variety of items. The omelet was decent, and the French toast, while not terrible, was a bit undercooked, leaving a lingering taste of egg. We also ordered eggs over easy and poached, but both orders arrived undercooked, as if the grill hadn't quite heated up enough to cook them properly. However, if there's one thing that stood out, it was the biscuits. They were exceptional, so good that I'd contemplate returning solely for them. Unfortunately, the gravy accompanying them was disappointingly watery. The fried pork chops lacked flavor, as did the potatoes. In an unconventional breakfast move, I decided to indulge in pie and ordered a slice of coconut cream pie, which we all shared. It had a pronounced coconut flavor, which was a plus, and the texture was thick and nearly creamy. Members of our group described it as "good" and "decent," so it's a matter of personal preference. Our server was friendly and attentive until he handed us the bill, after which he didn't return, leaving us to pay with cash to expedite our departure. In the grand scheme of things, Real Texas Cafe was just okay. Whether I would recommend dining here and reaching into your wallet depends on your expectations. For me, I won't be making a return visit, as there are significantly better cafes and diners in the DFW area that offer a more satisfying breakfast experience. Very clean restaurant the food is very good and reasonable prices I think The waitresses were very attentive, and the young man right away, took our drink order and made sure we had refills oh, and I ran into one of our of favorite waitresses Mona, and as usual she took care of us just as she always had. This place was perfection. The food was delicious as always but yesterday was the first time I had gone inside. Our server was fantastic & attentive. The food was hot, fresh & mouth watering delicious! The chicken fried steak is the best in town! The homemade croutons were so good we could've made a meal of them. The cornbread and rolls were soft & so yummy! We stuffed ourselves so much we didn't have room for dessert but we will go back soon for that because they were calling our name! My friend and I enjoyed our experience here. Before I get started, just know that this isn't the place to go if you are in a hurry. Service is slow. Don't know if they were understaffed or what, but we were there for over 2.5 hours. The staff was friendly but not attentive. We had to flag staff down when they should have checked on us. The cheese fries are huge and delicious. They are a meal all by themselves. The hungry cowboy was okay. The ham and cheese sandwich was amazing. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The service, food and atmosphere here is phenomenal. When dining in, there is never a wait to be seated. I ordered online for my neighbor who had just got out the hospital. She told me to go to McDonald's. Driving there, I thought I'd pick up something better. I ordered online. By the time I arrived, it was hot and ready! She was so happy to eat something that tasted just like homemade. This is definitely a great place for family dining. They serve breakfast and lunch...not sure about dinner. Real Texas Cafe, thank you for the wonderful service, everytime I come here. Justin the young man that served me again today, he remembered what I ordered previously and that was great. He is great!! They make the best Breakfast Melt hands down. You guys are the best! We had a large group getting together so it was important to make a reservation. Most breakfast places don't take reservations but, after doing some research, I found that Real Texas Cafe does. The seating arrangement was just what we needed and they basically had us in a separate area. The wait staff did a good job managing such a large table and they didn't rush us at all. 🤜Great little spot🤛 A meal here is going to set you back about $20. The main entree comes with two sides bread and a salad. You can either have a dinner roll. You also have the option of ordering breakfast. On this outing I got chicken fried chicken with spinach, corn and cornbread. It wasn't the best I've ever had & it did the trick, no complaints. My server was great, her name was Jessica and she did a fantastic job! There were about 8 customers between two people which they could have used a little more help as the place was getting busier when I left. I'd say they were a little understaffed. I didn't have to wait too long for my food, it came out pretty quick and was hot, just the way it should be. It's a neat little cafe with some Texas style and they didn't go overboard decorating, the place is very simple. The interior design looks newly updated and still pretty fresh. My sister and I dined in at this cafe for the first time on April 1, 2023, when we were in town for the Taylor Swift concert. The food was incredible! I had a grilled chicken sandwich with seasoned fries, and my sister had the chicken fried chicken with freshly baked cornbread. We are both from OK/TX area and know the taste of homemade, good southern food - and these meals were perfect! The servers were also very sweet and friendly. We will definitely visit again!
