Here you will be offered nicely cooked katsu, pork dumplings and taiyaki. Degust tasty biscuits, blueberry pie and lemon pie this cafe offers. It's nice to taste good wine or delicious bitter. Here you can order great taro milk tea, rose tea or bubble tea. Proper Rose Garden is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Adequate prices are something that should be noted about this place. The nice decor and quiet ambiance let visitors feel relaxed here. Google gives it 4.2 so you can select this spot to have a good time here.
Proper Rose Garden offers a comprehensive culinary experience with their $60 Rose Garden Set, which delivers on taste and presentation. From the moment you step in, the accommodating staff ensures a swift seating process, setting the stage for what promises to be a memorable dining experience.
The Rose Set itself is a delightful combination of flavors, featuring a customizable tea selection, a delectable club sandwich, and the refreshing lemon berry mascarpone cake. Also, with an assortment of desserts, including cookies, macaroons, and pastries, not only tantalize the taste buds but also serve as picturesque delights for your social media feed.
FYI, The major food items à la cart in the Rose Set would come out to about $30.
In addition to the Rose Set we also ordered the Parmesan Truffle fries and they were flavorful, they unfortunately fell short in texture, arriving soggy rather than crisp. However, the veggie dumplings provided a satisfying crunch and burst of flavor. The spicy edamame, though initially lacking salt, was promptly rectified by the attentive staff, although the absence of readily available table salt or packets was puzzling.
The service remains commendable throughout, with the waiter checking in periodically to ensure your satisfaction. However, the ambiance of the restaurant leaves something to be desired, with outdated holiday decor clashing rather than complementing the overall atmosphere. The mix of Christmas and Valentine's Day decorations on opposing walls seems disjointed.
Furthermore, while the chairs are comfortable, the majority being cloth, unfortunately, they bear visible stains, detracting from the overall cleanliness of the dining area. Despite these minor drawbacks, Proper Rose Garden ultimately delivers on taste, presentation, and service, making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking a memorable dining experience.

We first came for lunch on a Friday afternoon and were able to be seated right away. Several large parties of ladies lunching and gabbing. This was for my birthday lunch, so we did the tower set with jasmine-green tea (which was phenomenal), cucumber sandwiches, and the lemon berry mascarpone cake. Everything was so yummy - my husband had never had tea sandwiches and he LOVED the cucumber-cream cheese so much he still talks about it! We also got a shibuya honey toast for the table since it sounded so unique and we took most of the tier 2 & 3 pastries home in a box from the tower set. Glad we did, because that honey toast was ridiculous - it has a texture almost like crispy angel food cake? Very unique and delicious. We tried to go back on a Saturday right after they opened and it was a very long waitlist so it didn't happen. Weekday visits for the win!

I recently dined at Proper Rose Garden for Sunday brunch with my son, and unfortunately, it was a major letdown. Despite being promptly seated, our table was cramped, positioned uncomfortably close to both the bathroom and the bustling kitchen walkway. The food left much to be undesired; my son fish and chips were cold and tough, while my dish of sticky fish sauce wings dish took an eternity to arrive. The lack of space made the whole experience claustrophobic, with constant traffic disrupting any hope of enjoying our Sunday meal. After an hour of enduring the chaos, I had to insist we leave. To add insult to injury, the waiter's dismissive attitude and lack of transparency with the bill left a sour taste in my mouth. Despite his rudeness, I still tipped generously, though it was hardly deserved. Suffice it to say, I won't be returning to Proper Rose. Very disappointed.

The Coconut tea was so gooood. The atmosphere was wonderful and the teapots were so cute. The waiters were nice and polite as well. This place can get busy so just be prepared for a wait.

This place was recommended online so I came with my mother for some afternoon tea. The space was comfortable and our server were nice.
Ordered the "Proper Rose Garden set", which came with assorted pastries, a choice of sandwich, slice of cake, and tea for around $60 at the time of this review.
The green jasmine tea and Tonkatsu sandwich were good, but everything else was disappointing. The 2 piles of assorted pastries were mediocre and felt store bought. The slice of "lemon berry mascarpone" left a powdery mouthfeel and disintegrated on the fork before any of it touched my mouth.
I'm sure if you came for the sandwiches or their wide selection of teas, you would leave happy. However, I could not recommend the garden set, frankly the quality of food is not equivalent to the price point in the slightest.
