Edit: Mar. 3, 2024 After my previous review, the manager reached out and asked me to give the restaurant another chance. He really went above and beyond to allow me another opportunity to try other options on the menu and give me a better experience. While I do believe the style of food is not my taste particularly, definitely go for great service and especially if you want to enjoy wine and snacks with friends. Changed review to a 4 star due to the amazing customer service and welcoming environment. Feb 15, 2024: Tried the brucshetta plate and the bread was so overly toasted it tore up the inside of my mouth. Food was also super Salty. The wait staff, however, was super delightful and the atmosphere was good as a whole. If the place just had better food it'd be worth it to go back. Hubby and I went here because our daughter wanted to try it for her birthday! We made a reservation but when we got there we still had to wait over 15 min. The table was wet and didn’t have place setting for 6 people as we reserved. I may have been able to look past those things since our waitress was nice and my daughter liked her food however I wasn’t too impressed with the food. Sweet potato fries were overcooked chicken skewers were dry and my chicken bacon sandwich with bacon was yuck! No flavor and itty bitty pieces of bacon! Lastly, some waitress not the waitress that was helping us, kept coming over to clear our plates pushing herself in front of us almost hitting my daughter in the face without even saying excuse me! I love, love, love this place - I went back 3 times in one week it was so good! The service is fantastic, on my second visit I didn’t know what wine I wanted and our server offered samples to try - yes they offered it! The food on every visit has been amazing - the Bruschetta Board is THE bomb - the Brie, Apple and fig was my favorite. The atmosphere is so easy going, sit inside or out and just relax and enjoy, no rushing of you to get the table. The outside garden area has an open fire and also patio heaters so you get real warmth no matter the occasion. Postino boasts an exceptional location complemented by its sister restaurant, Joyride, conveniently situated next door. As part of the Upward Projects restaurant group, they skillfully embrace the Arizona climate, seamlessly blending indoor, partially indoor, and fully outdoor seating options. Whether you choose to lounge near a cozy fireplace or bask on the lawn, the ambiance exudes a chill vibe, creating an atmosphere that feels like one continuous party. Having frequented Postino multiple times, we consistently received outstanding and attentive service. What sets their service apart is the ease with which a genuine rapport can be developed with the staff. On a couple of occasions, our connection with a server was so remarkable that we affectionately dubbed her "Awesome." Her service was indeed so outstanding that her name quickly became synonymous with the title "Awesome." Now, onto the wine selection – a critical aspect for someone with a background in Italian winemaking and a taste for fine wines. Thankfully, Postino offers a Barbera-Nebbiolo (Viso) from Italy that meets the mark. Without this gem, the review might have taken a humorous downward turn for Upward Projects. The flexibility in their boards is commendable; they accommodated my wife's preference by seamlessly swapping out goat or sheep cheese. In summary, Postino is a vibrant and enjoyable spot, perfect for couples or small groups. While the atmosphere is fantastic, I'd love to see more influence from the Italian roots, especially in the authenticity of the food offerings on the boards, along with the addition of some exceptional Italian reds.
