Stopped in at 10 am this morning 8/2/2023 with my wife. Ordered a country omelet with biscuits. Meal came with biscuits on a separate plate. In between the two biscuits was a wadded up receipt from Buddy's gas station. Waitress was very apologetic. Obviously these biscuits came off another table that had been cleaned up. I'm not a fan of recycled food. Still left a tip. Shame on your penny pinching practices

I go to Poppa’s a lot, breakfast mainly. Went there last night for dinner. The food was terrible!!! Everything was over cooked. Won’t be going back! But they do have great waitresses!

It was the best all you can eat Friday fish fry I have ever had. My whole family went and everyone was very happy with their meals.

Olive Burger & Fries
I prefer to go to Poppa's for a burger over McDonald's any day. I spent only $13.50 for two cheeseburgers and fries a week ago. Considering it is restaurant food compared to fast food, I think it's a pretty good deal overall. Excellent breakfast food, but never tried their dinners. Staff is usually very friendly and the food always comes out quickly, even when it is busy.

Probably the best breakfast in the county here. Baked oatmeal is fabulous. Prices are good. Many specialties. Not typical diner food. Pies are to be tasted.

It is one of the best locally own dinners I have been to. Looks like locals love this small little place. It's a great place to stop by if you're driving through or here for the NASCAR race.

Excellent food. The service was exceptional as well. Make sure to try the Beef Pasty with homemade potato chips, fried chicken, and cod dinner.
Honestly, their beef pasty is the best I have ever eaten, and I’ve been to the U.P. and eaten many there. Sorry, Yoopers! Poppa’s wins!

Highly recommend Poppa’s Place! My family has been coming here for breakfast every summer when we visit Clark Lake since I was a kid. Poppa’s Place has always had great service, homey decor, delicious food, generous portions, and very reasonable prices. You really can’t go wrong here.
I was especially impressed with the service today. There was one waitress working the whole dining room for most of our visit due to a staff shortage, but she was really on the ball. She managed the stress beautifully, worked quickly, always remained friendly and as attentive as possible, and she even helped in the kitchen on top of that. Major kudos!
